Instead I get a bunch of landslide defeat teams, idiots not using AA properly, and ifI actually try to do objectives I get slaughtered as my team never does anything together, as if the game is running in deathmatch mode

You'll want the DLC. It comes free with all limited editions of the game, so try and get that. Last I checked they were the same price, but then again they might only old them as preorders so you might not be able to find one.
I'm sorry but if your PC can't handle FXAA in BF3 you need to upgrade or stop playing.
Also GTS250 Turbo-derp's are the bare minimum for BF3, at low.

I believe it's VRAM related, I have 16GB RAM and it happens to me still. Aero can use quite a bit of video ram.

Damn, if they make Battlefield: 2143... that will be the best game in existence. 2142 is the game that got me really interested into Battlefield as I was never really fond of BF2 with it's god awful infantry combat. Only thing I'm worried about is the fact that since it will probably be on consoles too, the old formula could get stripped down like how BF3 is to BF2. But who knows, there will probably new consoles by the time it 's even announced, so they won't have an excuse to dumb it down.
So after a long while of using the L85, I've gone back to M16. It seems that rate of fire is extremely important in this game, which is why the FAMAS and the F2000 are so powerful, and the L85's low rate of fire hinders it quite a bit.

I am a progressive assault, I hang back abit for accurate fire at the enemy because nearly half the community spray, and are unable to hit me.
I just played this game
it's pretty neat but even in 64 player matches there's not a whole lot of action.
well, there is, but it's spread throughout the gigantic map
maybe it's due to the trend of increasingly shitty games recently or something, but i'm used to playing small maps with lots of frantic action in them
