Just got Battlefield 3. I could play the first single player mission fine, the one where you are on the train, in handcuffs. Then on the second mission, operation swordbreak, just before, or after when you get the mission debrief from the black guy with the map, the game freezes. I alt tab and it says Battlefield 3 has encountered a problem. I played multiplayer just to see if it too, would crash, and it did, about a minute or so into play. It crashes the same way as it does in singleplayer.

Make sure you have the latest drivers, make sure to disable anything that could conflict with the game ( Spybot S&D, an ati spyware program, conflicted to BF3 to the point that I constantly crashed.), and you can also reformat. I reformatted a week or two before the release, I didn't have any problems until now and I'll probably reformat my HD again when I get my new build.

Wow, I wasn't expecting the DAO-12 to be this good. It's amazing in close range and it's pretty good at longer ranges too, as it will also instantly suppress anyone that you hit even at longer ranges.

The rage gets even better when you do AT Mine Jihad. You also get bonus rage if you type "worth it" into the chat afterwards.

The amount of retarded admins and servers in this game is downright fascinating.
I saw one server that didn't have a rule about no spawn killing, so people took that as permission to spawn camp...
Another server, the admin was kicking anyone who killed him (would explain horribly unbalanced team)
And another server that only allowed default weapons, kicking anyone who killed anyone else with a different weapon.

Reminds me of the time I got kicked in Bad Company 2 for killing an admin who is exploiting in a server. Power does bad things to people.

i really wish they made the stats on your dog tags a darker text or something to make it stand out more, ingame it's even harder to see and the 1 is covered by part of the MVP symbol so you basically see 36. :(

You're gonna love it. I'ts even more accurate than the M40.
I hate how they took out the necessary ladders in the game. Other gamemodes magically have ladders in necessary places so snipers can access them as well as access to rooftops. They also closed off staircases and specific entrances to prevent this. Really detracts from gameplay.
An example of this is Gulf of Oman or any other map with carriers. People stuck on the US spawn dock cannot access the flight deck at all from the bottom. When the people all jack the vehicles, people are stuck on the ship, unable to reach land because of the magical loss of ladders.
Snipers result to MAV glitching to get on top of the "hotel" buildings in places like Sharqi Peninsula because other maps have ladders on them. Remember the hotel in Back to Jalalabad in BF2? Ladders were so prominent I wonder why they took it out. Anti-sniper? Anti-griefing? Anti-ninjas?
