Perhaps it's because no one was ever meant to use it (think about it, 12 times scopes, and now suppressed shotguns, it sounds like BTK's DICE only attachments got broken). I would think it still prevents you from showing up on the minimap.

On my book its like a pure upgrade for M40, which is mid range sniper rifle for me. Yet its still not as fast and accurate as M98 which is best choice for long and super long range sniping.

I'm pretty sure the reason why the B2K weapons all have 12x scopes unlocked right off the bat is just because DICE didn't put the need to be a DICE employee restriction on them. If you were a DICE employee, it would be like that for every single weapon.

Does anybody else get quite terrible performance on the new maps? I'm using a GTX 460 and on medium-high settings anytime i turn around the game will freeze for about 1 second.
Mowed down 13 people with a deployed m249 while backing up my team capping Hotel on karkand.
Mostly with one clip, feels good.

I like hardcore because I think it's stupid as fuck how many bullets it takes to take someone down with some weapons.
The downside is that a good recon player will always win and as such it's a really popular class for those servers. The upside though is that rarely are recons who play on hardcore able to hit you anyways.

Oman runs awful for me, way worse than the rest of the game normally does.
