Hardcore is just annoying imo, it becomes less about sticking in squad being all team working and more about solo running around getting kills easily.

That's my main beef with it, it's too easy to take out a squad working together with just one person because of the small amount of damage you need to deal to do it.
I like normal, it really isn't hard to kill someone and if you aim for the head you get the advantage.

I only play hardcore, mostly because i go recon and i find it bullshit that it takes 2 shots to kill someone. Most of the time im on gulf of oman sniping from the construction building and two shots is possible but a pain in the ass.

The only time any weapon should be 1 shot is...
1. shotgun at point blank range
2. Headshots with sniper rifles

which is what applies in hardcore
unless you shoot someone in the chest with a sniper from less than ten meters
i played a lot of project reality and arma, so i like realism, and you have to actually use the map to see the enemy. you also have to use cover a lot more to not die

Blame Halo 3
Got the game today, Ive had mixed feelings based on my first few matches.
I was unlucky enough to get stuck in a match where a tank on the opposing team was doing suspiciously well with 27 kills and no deaths, and seemingly with the magic ability to spot people before they appeared and blow them to pieces. After he left I was pretty impressed with the damage mechanics, now that it doesn't take 3/4 of a clip to kill someone on softcore.
The loading times are horrendous, and the crashing after every map is finished even worse. Ive spent anything up to 5 minutes recovering from a crash, finding a server and then waiting for the match to load. Its not really acceptable when most sessions are over in 10 minutes, and thats if the game loads at the start of the match.
The graphics, the weapon feel and the sheer immersion is fantastic though. Its just held back by this broken server management.
i fucking hate recon faggots who hang out and camp in one spot all game and rack up kills, and meanwhile i can't find them ever
also fuck weapon upgrades, i use the first two assault rifles you get and i always have the best scores in the game
maybe not the best KDR, because I tend to have about a 3/2 kdr or 5/3, but whatever :v:

Africa Harbor phenomena is the fault of Bad Company 2's shitty fonts.
The Karkland phenomena is the fault of people with completely non-functioning eyes.
i can't stand normal, 3d spotting and the annoying damage system make it impossible for me to enjoy normal

Why does the PC version's colors seem so off?
Squad member colors are yellow and the radar seems to have 10% opacity.
Unless those are the colorblind colors I'm looking at, haven't bothered to try them yet.
P sure you can set hud opacity
