24/7 Metro MeltDown 1000 Tickets JOIN NOW FAST RANKING Do remotely good on the server and they will ban you, worse then EGO servers back in the day. They get mad for someone not hacking.
They should change spotting to a hitscan method, instead of the sort of beam emitted from the player in a cone shape as it is right now. [editline]25th December 2011[/editline] If they did that they'd have to raise the bonus for spotted assists though.
Why do hackers all flock to 64 player metro servers. he was goin 135/0. Not even attempting to hide his hacks and headshotting every time. GODDAMMIT EA WHERE IS MY REPORT BUTTON.

Well, played a little of the campaign and two rounds of multiplayer (Caspian Border and Wake Island, respectively, through Quick Match). My game chugs a little but not too bad - more concerned about the 'repeating sound' issue probably also stemming from the high graphics demands (i'm on Auto, which set most of the settings to low). Overall, though, i'm doing better than I expected. Was really satisfying to cover the back of this Engineer as a Medic, we survived for a good while and kept taking over enemy bases before they realized we were there.
Aw yeah, 7th Surveillance medal and new record ribbons in one game, 15 :D
some dumbass put 4 c4 on his LAV, saved me a couple of rockets and got me an anti-explosive ribbon + anti-vehicle
Jets come with so much bullshit I swear to god. I was taking off the carrier in an F-35 and out of nowhere SOMETHING reduces me down to 32% health. No shots or hints of being shot at. And so many fucking times enemy jets come out of nowhere and fire litteraly 5 shots and my jet blows the fuck up to hell while im sitting here litteraly buttfucking enemy jets with bullets and they refuse to go down.
How do you get those scratchy dogtags that show stats on them? Obviously it comes from just using stuff but I'd like to know specifically. For example, how could I get a carbine one?
So, on my first and only playthrough of the tacked-on campaign, I finally saw Dimitri's face and I thought: If BJ weren't so low-res, I think they'd look pretty similar. Edited for fuck I am tired and I can't spell.

You mainly just get them for doing those things? Like, getting an absurd amount of lifetime kills with a tank/rifle/pistol or something of that nature. I honestly felt that this fact was sort of obvious. Also, DO NOT fly a jet unless you have a joystick. Seriously. Don't do it. If you DO have one, practice makes perfect... That's all there really is for me to say. Edit: If you want to buy a joystick and are strapped for cash, I suggest a Goodwill/Salvation Army store. they tend to pop up there a lot for some reason.

I have 30 hours of play, 1k kills, 1.4k deaths, and 4.37k EXP total and have 40% service star for assault, 38% for engineer, 42% for support, and 22% for recon. Do you need like 1000 kills for each class star?

I use keyboard and mouse and I fare just fine.
Anyone have any tips I can give to my less than skilled friend who plays? he has 26 hours, 114 kills and 1000 deaths, and is rank 14 with an accuracy of 6.8. he gets most of his points through reviving, capping points, anti-vehicling, things like that, but if he could get some kills he would really be credit to team...
Any-one got any tips to reduce the loading times in BF3?
Any-one got any tips to reduce the loading times in BF3?
Install to an SSD if possible. http://www.amazon.com/OCZ-Technology-2-5-Inch-Solid-OCZSSD2-1ONX32/dp/B003BPBUQO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1324885605&sr=8-1 if you don't feel like coughing up 60 dollars you could install it to a different normal hard drive in your computer. but other than that, your pretty much stuck with loading times.
I don't know why you feel joysticks are absolutely mandatory for flying jets. I use keyboard and mouse and I fare just fine.
Because it's rather difficult to traverse a mouse over the limited space that is a desk whilist trying to keep your aim on something. Especially when if you're doing a 180 degree turn you have to pick the mouse up. Joysticks, however, do not have this problem.
Why am I lagging so badly? Do I need to set ports or what.
Why am I lagging so badly? Do I need to set ports or what.
probably shouldn't need to set ports unless you're running a server. Blame your ISP.
I have a question, I have Battlefield 3 for the xbox and recently bought a new xbox. When I changed my accounts and some games including Battlefield 3 from the new one to the old one my brothers account can't play Battlefield 3 on his account even on the same new xbox that my account is on with the activated code. Is there anyway around this to be able to get my brother to play again? I would really like him to play and enjoy his own unlocks and progress with his guy and he would enjoy it as well.
This game is gonna be fucking crazy good.

SOFLAM's are useful in the way of freaking out pilots, cause whenever someone is using the soflam on me, I immediately think someone is locking on with a AA on me and I try to get away from it and I'm like "fuck it won't leave me alone" so which I use my flares thinking it helps, but then I realize it was a soflam. Then engineers with the stingers/IGLA shoot me down because my flares didn't reload fast enough.
I love when I'm tanking and jets try to kamikaze me. It's funny because it almost never works, and even when it does it rarely actually does any damage. Although, there was this one time where I got hit directly by a jet and got spun in the air a full two times before safely landing at quarter health.

Unless you get behind a building or something.
I wish they put back quickscoping. I think it's already unfair that us Recon class takes two bullshit shots to take someone down. EA/DICE even went so far as adding horribad bullet drop and randomized inaccurate shots when scoped in quickly? What.
