The video is a tiny bit more saturated and the contrast is also a bit higher than actual in game, but here is my go at making the colors in BF3 a tad more realistic while having it easy on the eye. Check the before and after in the description as well.

Actually kinda cool and you can see the differences after a bit of watching. Although, you should try to get the video at a higher res whether it be you or someone else.
Also is it solely for dx10/work for dx11?
Just had my biggest WTF? moment in BF3..
Playing TDM.
People keep coming so I start to camp the same spot. I get loads of kills, suddenl I have to reload, fuck.
I switch to pistol and shoot the rest, suddenl MORE people come (I just started reloading), I manage to reload (they somehow miss all their shots) then I shoot them again, but other medics keep on reviving them, then I say fuck it and run for cover (4 people are shooting at me at this point)..
I somehow dodge every single bullet reload my LMG and fire away...
Then I die because I had to reload again. :v:
Felt like some action movie.
All this talk about the singleplayer being crap, but I kinda like it.
Took out another helicopter with a tv guided missile, fuck yeah.
Just finished those rounds of squad deathmatch
I never want to play squad deathmatch again
Its going to take forever to get this

My PC broke down a few months ago and one of my brothers asked for a new one for Christmas instead of a new phone, laptop or an iPad
Of course, not knowing this my youngest brother asked for BF3 on the 360, this however was remedied earlier today when we all took a trip into town and used up some vouchers. BF3 is downloading updates now and my brothers are having fun with their own stuff. See you lot on the field sometime soon, and I hope you all had a good'un. :buddy:
All this talk about the singleplayer being crap, but I kinda like it.
Personally I found it okay. Nothing spectacular. I played parts of it in between multiplayer sessions, and just when the story seemed like it was gonna take it up a notch, it ended.

1000 ticket sharqi and oman servers
Roadkills in DPV ( I got 5 in one life on wake island at point D, bastards never knew what hit 'em :v: )
BTR90 is easy enough and so are the PP19 kills
I just improved my kill streak from 41 to 51, and I wish to dedicate that victory and prove that close range sniping is fucking remarkable, L91-4-lyfe

Reminds me of the last time I played BC2. Some guy was speeding at me on an ATV right after I spawned and missed me by less then a meter, while I kept shooting at him.
He didn't die, and he backed up to try and roadkill me. I ran out of bullets on the M416 and change to the M1911. He starts speeding at me again, I fire 3 times at him, and the ATV he was in blows up and goes flying low towards me. Felt like a real action movie :v:
I think (from my very limited knowledge), that both the CPU and graphics card are a little outdated. I've got a Core 2 Duo at 2.4 GHz, HD 5770, which is kind of a low-mid end build now, and I can only play on low. kind of annoying. but shows that this kind of spec doesn't work too well any more.
I'd say prioritise the CPU over the graphics card, but that's me.
CPU? I sort of think the CPU is okish for now, and the graphics card is the one who needs a much bigger upgrade. It was probably the part where I went for the cheapest and still somewhat powerfull, and the CPU was probably where I tried to sink more money. Too bad there weren't any AMDs where I got all this, and now there are a bunch of them.

So I've been playing for a while now on mainly medium settings, which is disappointing considering my hardware. Am I missing something from my specs or is the game just playing slowly for no reason?

Your reminding reminds me of when I was on top of the crane on the Sharqi Peninsula because I had my sniper shotgun and I was being a bad ass and killing people with it, when 3 recon sqaud mates spawn on me.
This is already bad in itself, but I am a pretty chill guy and just mind my own business until I realize one of the snipers is using a shotgun too. Well I am okay with that as I felt this was going to be one of those 1/1000 matches where someone is actually going to be a bro.
Then I look at the fucking shotgun.
It has no scope.
Hey what are those glowy things coming out of the shotgun in MULTIPLES?
The god damn bimbo has buckshot on.
So I am here watching this idiot trying to hit people across the map on top of a crane with a god damn buckshot 870 as recon.
The story doesnt end there friends, oh no, stupidity never makes one run it has to do an encore show.
So we continue this sad game on top of the crane when I hear an enemy chopper coming in, you know that ominous sound "shuk shuk shuk shuk" that gets louder and louder?
Our team is already losing past the point of no return and if I jump off this crane the 3 stooges might follow me and I will continue having my IQ slowly degrade. So I say fuck it and continue shooting on the crane raining death on the poor saps below waiting for the mass of rockets to come hailing down on me at any moment.
Except they never came. I keep hearing the "SHUK SHUK SHUK" sound that lets you know it is right somewhere in the area of your asshole and back of the ballsack so I begin looking around. It is no where to be seen until I realize something obvious...
It is right fucking below us. The god damn helicopter was hovering right below us bombarding the construction sight that some allies were feebly trying to capture (trust me they didn't need the helicopter).
When I mean this helicopter was below us, I mean hovering 3 feet below the crane where you can see the whites of the pilots eyes. This was a once in a mother fucking lifetime moment.
As I am taking aim at this mother fucker I imagine the glory of blowing off his head and diving onto the falling helicopter and possibly shooting away into the sunset while air drying my massive balls out the side of the cockpit.
Right then the recon with the 870 buck shot takes a motherfucking flying leap off the crane at the helicopter.
This recon forgot a couple things:
1. this isnt halo
2. you lose a shitton of accuracy while in midair
3. shotguns generally take 2 hits to kill.
So it is one of those moments when everything goes into slow motion and youre just too dumbfounded to do anything but watch as this recon does some 300 style jump over the cock pit and fires his shotgun in midair at the cock pit of this helicopter....then pretty much lands directly on the front of the helicopter, sits there for a couple awkward seconds before the pilot lazily accelerates upwards and road kills the bastard.
From the pilots perspective I can imagine him firing like a lunatic at the construction sight when out of no where he sees some scrawny ass recon fall right in his line of sight looking at him with eyes that say "OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK". I would have given anything to feel what that pilot felt at that moment.
Anyways because of that fucktard he made the pilot MOVE so I couldn't do the proper bad ass killing it deserved and even more so he made the pilot move UPWARD. So now the pilot is hovering directly in front of me and my other 2 remaining sqaud mates and while I know it is not possible, I swear I saw that pilots shit eating grin as he opened fire his entire payload on the crane.
All in all not the worse match I have been in.
1911 actually has 9 rounds for whatever reason ingame
8 in the magazine 1 in the chamber
Got BF3 for christmas, had my doubts. I really like it, Origin and Battlelog are a pain but it's okay I guess.
I just hate the load times man.
Wah wah snipers act more like they do in the real world ;_;
The funny thing realistically snipers are the kinds of people who literally sit in one spot for days while waiting to take out high profile targets, and will always have spotters. Sometimes they are miles away.
The type of person you actually play as in BF3 would be closer to a Marksman, which are designed to be with their fireteam at all times and provide distance support in any kind of engagements (close, medium, long). In rank and combat, they are exactly like a soldier, except they happened to do a good job on their marksman test enough to get a gun that is designed to work well with a scope on it. Caliber wise, it's pretty much exactly the same kind of ammo you'd get in your standard assault rifle.
So really in BF3 we have a bunch of marksmen pretending to be snipers, that happen to have some other tools normal marksmen don't have (like MAV) and as such completely failing for the whole team.
i wonder what happened to the load times, in the beta it took no longer than 20-30 seconds to join a game
I don't understand the logic of putting battlelog in charge of server joining and shit like that. I tried to join my brother 5 times, after the game crashed. Same server and everything but I just got problem after problem after problem. It's a pain in the ass. And I got kicked by an admin for no reason whatsoever.

I have a theory.
90% of admins are 12 year olds that think that if you get a random headshot on them once you are obviously a cheater even though you may have deaths along with those kills.
I hate it when my team just doesn't pay any attention. I noticed that we lost the warehouse on karkand so I go back to gatehouse and set up. Only one other person from a 31 person team go back and try to hold it, but they came in with a tank and a about five or six other guys. We kill a few and destroy the tank but are subsequently overwhelmed. From taking gatehouse they subsequently steamroll us and win from a 150 ticket deficit.

but I'd barely killed anyone. I managed to destroy 1 MCOM and kill 2 or 3 people, so I was doing not great, as ability goes. I was lagging a little though.
I play sniper most of the time W/L 1.33 is okay is it?

and?
Is there an Xbox360 FP platoon? I only found one with only one member in it.. Guess that's not the right one.

Are shotguns that good even at range?
Oh god, the F35B is so amazing for killing choppers.
Just fire off a few hits to get your aim right, then rain down fire upon them.
Are shotguns that good even at range?
Scope + Slugs
They become sniper rifles
Scope + Slugs

That feeling you get when you headshot a sniper while they're desperately trying to hit you is amazing.
Are shotguns that good even at range?
Yep, I can hit people at the surveillance point (point at the top of the hill) without even compensating for bullet drop. It takes a couple hits, but the suppression it gives confuses the shit out of the enemy to allow you to finish them off. When doing sniping like that, support is a must as it drains a lot of ammo so you want an ammo crate on you.
If you have a good bro who is a decent sniper you can also rack up a shitton of suppression assists by spamming it at multiple enemies while the sniper takes out the last one you shot at.
