trying to find the tutorial.
There is no tutorial here.

Also my joystick is not working here.

ah found it i had to edit the settings.CFG
Can somebody post a mirror of it, the site bandwith is currently exceeded.
I wonder if you can land your space pod safely without parachute but wings.
I think I found a bug, I tried making a plane, but the wings didn't make me go forward, so I disconnected, and all of a sudden the disconnected part (with the wings) launches forward. I think wings don't work, or just a tiny bit if connected to the pod.
This is fantastic I've always wanted something like this. I bought Gmod just to do this.
Works with steam.
Has anyone managed to get their rocket to go on a parabolic trajectory without failing? It's absolutely impossible to steer the damn things if they have more than 2 fuel tanks and an engine :/
Would be nice if manoeuvring thrusters were added
S.S Roody-Poo seems to work fine

or not...

My best yet, it is built with modified engines, but it was only about 2 and a half minutes of burn time.
I've managed to get to 350 thousand KM in 10 minutes.
90% of my thrust is used trying to break earth's gravity, my last is a liquid rocket used on a lower power to keep velocity at close to constant (no losses allowed, minimum gain is fine) as it breaks the first and second gravity barrier of orbit you turn the thrust down to accomodate it, I ran out of fuel at about 200 thousand KM and at 1500+ km/s or whatever the units of speed used are, you will be able to easily drift another 150 thousand KM.
at above:
You don't count because your using altered engines, there's no way that could even be considered a respectable effort.
I got a survivor!

I have noticed that the solid rockets are more easily controlled, the liquid rockets are too squirrelly.
I have my current rocket set up to use 6 solid rockets for getting off the pad and up to a decent altitude, then three solid rockets for getting into space, then a pair of solid rockets for adjusting the trajectory into an orbit, then a liquid rocket for finalizing the orbit speed. Works pretty well when I can manage to fly it right.

I have:
9 solid rockets for take off
4 solid rockets after that to get speed
a liquid rocket with two fuel tanks to break into orbit and get more speed
and one liquid rocket with one tank to maintain velocity
all 9 of those do ignite at the same time due to the fact the game only lets me have a whimpy 8 stages

Why on earth did I think this was a good idea?
Hahahaahahahahahahaha oh God what is that thing
Have anyone flew a complete circle round the earth without falling into the atmosphere?
Can someone give me the part.cfg for the Liquid Rocket? I accidentally deleted mine.
I don't think anyone has beaten my 122MM (122,000KM) yet.

In design, a large rocket.
In testing, a large bomb.
You go far enough and it crashes, with some trees.
Or not, it crashed when I tried to record it, wanted to lay this over it D:

Hi!
I'm part of the Kerbal Space Program development team. Currently we are having issues with the server so the site is down due to excesive amount of downloads, we have stablished a mirror download in here: http://bit.ly/kspv08win
Thanks and sorry for all the mess :)
Could you guys add some screams?
It'd be nice to hear them every time my rocket fails.

Keep up the good work by the way.

Not to wave my dick around, but:
This this needs:
A way to place the same part multiple times without having to re-select (i.e. hold shift and each time you click it attaches a new one)
.
Automatic stage detachment (Perhaps a module?)
Some sort of automatic path system (i.e. mission control, AI will attempt to fly the rocket along that path using the guidance).
A way to attach things in the middle of the rocket without destroying the whole damn thing (Oh god i forgot to attach a decoupler between the pod and the last stage)
Some scenery. A city (Doesn't even have to be high-res!) around/surrounding/near the spaceport would be nice.
Some example rockets packaged with the game/sim, courtesy of the developers or community.
An easier way to attach things to the side of the rocket so it doesn't get horribly unbalanced.
Multiple rocket launch/multiplayer. Either timed or controlled/switch between controls by player, in accordance with the automatic launch/AI control detailed above.
More engines, parts, everything!
Looking forward to future versions of this game.

A time manipulation option. That one for sure.
