I decided to try some crazy new design, and despite not expecting much, I just achieved 4200 m/s. Before this, I had only been able to get to ~2400 m/s. [editline]13th August 2011[/editline] I'm at 2000k and still going 3600m/s

I absolutely CANNOT get anywhere above 7000m. I can't seem to build a fuel efficient rocket or one that would wouldn't overheat quickly. Any tips, or parts that would hlep?

try a 3 fuel tank then booster with radial decouplers that have solids on them.
