You left your computer running for fucking 68 hours?
3GB of RAM on a quad-core makes it pretty easy to multitask with something like KSP in the background, so it wasn't just sitting there. And iBUYPOWER does a great job of wiring and fan arrangement so my computer stays pretty cool even when gaming for a few hours. My laptop, on the other hand, may as well have been salvaged from the fires of Mordor after a few hours [del]gaming[/del] light usage..
You guys are worried about having a computer on for 3 days? I've had mine on for 3 months at a time before.
lol our old computer wasnt shut down for 1 ½ years then it just broke
Whats this thread about again?
Whats this thread about again?
Right now, how long you have ever had your computer turned on.
something incredibly weird just happened, i went into orbit toward the north pole and when i got there the ship began to turn laterally to the east, as though i hit an imaginary gravity pull that swung me around an invisible pole. wtf is going on?
it's just reorienting your gimbal
I haven't turned my computer off since I set it up when I got back from Quakecon, so it's been on about 3 weeks. My old dell has been on for the last year or so, since we're using it as a file server.
Just pre-ordered.
I turn off my computer when I'm not using it. So it's off for like 16 hours a day.
I turn off my computer when I'm not using it. So it's off for like 16 hours a day.
My computer use to be on 16 hours a day. (or just about 12-14)
Mine is on 24/7, i don't see the problem
Will they make it possible to fly to the sun? (imagine nearing this huge ball of fire, with solar flares & everything). Also, I think the lens flare has to be in front of the spacecraft... Y'know they should just add the whole solar system, with time-skipping/fast forwarding it would be pretty fun. Procedural rings & stuff... Another idea: some sort of plotting of your path after you've flown (or during, unless that lessens the experience)
Flying to the sun! I never even thought of that.
Doing a slingshot around the sun would be a good boost of speed.
Doing a slingshot around the sun would be a good boost of speed.
Whilst on fire.
Flying to the sun! I never even thought of that.
I can't believe we didn't think about that! New objective anyone?
I can't wait to see this game in five years. My hopes are a full solar system or two, a fully mapped Kearth, advanced craft designing, and modding support for all of that stuff the developers don't get to.
Whilst on fire.
You travel 150 000 000 km to end up as a glowing molten ball of fuck
You travel 150 000 000 km to end up as a glowing molten ball of fuck
And inside that ball, somewhere in the universe, Jeb is still smiling.
And inside that ball, somewhere in the universe, Jeb is still smiling.
Jeb is either insane, or on sedatives.
Five years? Not many indie games last that long.
Two, then. But still, I have faith. It can be the exception to the rule.
Five years? Not many indie games last that long.
That's not exactly fair to say, as truly modern computing has hardly existed for a decade.
i dont know about you guys, the sun was one of my first goals, but i realized how far it was and was like 'fuck that' and turned around and smashed into kearth
i dont know about you guys, the sun was one of my first goals, but i realized how far it was and was like 'fuck that' and turned around and smashed into kearth
Now that I think about it, I think the sun is just a sprite rendered in some kind of a skybox.
oh wow why did this thread go of the first page. get it back :v:
I got to 300000m
I got to 300000m
Instead of making us read that painful number of zeros, you could've just posted what the game says; 300k
