Kerbal Space Program, or: "How many rockets can I slap onto this thing?"

Wow, the new terrain is really nice looking.
Is it possible to make a space plane using stock parts?
yes
ok
i just suck then
[QUOTE=RedStar;32096011]ok
i just suck then[/QUOTE]It's possible, but really difficult to fly, especially if you plan on actually landing like a plane. The wings don't seem to actually glide that well.
Kinda a pity it went pay-to-update so soon.
Oh hey wait, experimental is still free?

Oh hey wait, experimental is still free?[/QUOTE]What do you mean pay-to-update? It's going to be free until its final version, and even then the final beta version is going to be free as a demo.

I thought that only 0.9 was free, and anything after that you had to pre-order to get?

What's new in x2?
That's cleared up then. Thanks!
[QUOTE=LarparNar;32096944]What's new in x2?[/QUOTE]
Bug fixes I guess, it is experimental after all.

It's nothing major on X1 unless you are having problems with your joystick.

I did have problems with my joystick, it was way too sensitive.
This thread is now an awkward meeting with the doctor.
I started playing after a while, using the .10 beta.
Can anyone point me to some interesting parts/mods? I wanna reach a full orbit at some point.
[editline]3rd September 2011[/editline]
When I say "full orbit" I mean, I've made a half "orbit", but I've never achieved a full loop. And I have no knowledge of any parts or mods.
So, fuck you, Beetle179.

Knock yourself out.
Silisko, Sundaypunch and pretty much look around to see what parts interest you.

You shouldn't need anything custom to get into orbit. I actually did it the first time with all vanilla parts.
Also, don't take the ratings seriously.
Am I missing out a lot by not getting custom stuff (like rocket boosters etc)?
And KSP in a nutshell

Another riveting development at THM Incorporated, we've [del]stolen[/del] found blue prints from some random X-Prize space vehicle, and decided to [del]copy[/del] reproduce it in true THM Inc. style

All in all, went better than expected.

Very cool.
Interestingly enough, that was not our first attempt at launching a 500 Honduran Lempira (Roughly $26.50) jet from another vehicle.

This design was scrapped due to altitude sickness and the massive rain of flaming debris above our heads.

I intend on slamming as many jets into as I can.

This is great news! I've been using the sea this entire time because of its flatness.
A bug have made strange holes in the north and south pole of Kearth? Landing attempt anyone?

Oh, and did I mention that the AV-R8 winglet can pivot now?
