Kerbal Space Program, or: "How many rockets can I slap onto this thing?"

[QUOTE=Dacheet;32458915]The Challenger pack's fuel tanks have a curved top, which makes my rockets spazz out a lot. :([/QUOTE]
The curved top is visual only, it has nothing to do with the collision model or it's physics :(
[QUOTE=scratch (nl);32459091]I saw they plan adding bottom srb's, which you can stack.
And i never got any problems. With the tops, maybe you should use another radial decoupler.[/QUOTE]
Me and winston have done the 1m,2m and 1.75 stackable SRBs

As for problems with stacks, i'm looking to rebalance the engines weights and thrusts to stop weird things happening on the launch pad.
KSP has really funky physics when you have higher weights, parts will clip into others collision models etc.
We need a variable for the actual strength of constraints, rather than just the breaking limits of constraints in my opinion.
Am I the only person who isn't able to register on their forums?
I am so ~artistic~

Lens flare and ~stuf~
didn't you make this?

Could you make one of my rocket :o
They said we were too ambitious, too pursuant of a singular goal with an absolute disregard for Kerbal life.
They said our lander was too complex to do anything that fit within the legal definition of landing.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/F2xEx.jpg[/img_thumb]
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ZnyL3.jpg[/img_thumb]
They had a point.
They said a rocket held together with nothing but spit and prayers would explode at ten seconds.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/6DBAq.jpg[/img_thumb]
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/6rhMG.jpg[/img_thumb]
They got lucky.
With iron resolve and Kerbal determination, we set out to prove them all wrong.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/56ps7.jpg[/img_thumb]
Apparently, they were right about everything.
But through all of our toil and sacrifice, we managed to learn something for science:
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/YBYdV.jpg[/img_thumb]
25 lbs of amphetamines kept our astronauts staring stupidly at the capsule walls, even in while the rest of the ship explodes violently.

Hm. Something about your parts pack is making my ship spazz about on the pad...

Are you putting big ass SRBs on really small rockets? if not, it'll probably be KSP's derp physics messing with weights. Best case is insta launch or use some next level strutage.
I'm going to make a heavyweight strut of somekind and see if it helps any.

I'm using the 2x12m tank on a Hercules. Jumps about and then breaks.
For some reason, no propulsion I put on my crafts work. Full throttle. Nothing. Even the SRBs
Got it, Forgot to map the stage button to my controller, stupid idiot I am

You and winston are doing a great job on this stuff though

Maybe ask harvester if he can try to fix this problem with spazzing out.

Send me the .craft and I'll see what I can do later today.
Any special mods?
challenger, sunday punch and silisko's
oh and the assorted hardware fairings.

on of those, I somehow ended up with 2 ships with the same name.
Eh, I just used one of your images and did this real fast:

Not happy with it though, I'll see if I can fix up something better.
still much better than mine :v:

Except the a bit over-powered DoF.

God damn it Jeb.

Jebediah in order to summon his demonic lord to the planet of kerbin has just sacrificed 2 crew members.
-Put my shuttle to the orbit with mad wasd taping
-Carefully controll speed and angle in the orbit
-Deorbit and miss the space port by a few hundred miles
-Try to land on the ground with the skids from C7 pack
-Lose controll at the last moment and crash
-Bash the keyboard out of frustration
-godfuckingdamnit.jpg:suicide:
anyway i read that the update will get released on 10 of october
its a long wait...
SAS modules can still be used for rocket planes...
yeah but they limit my controll and always screw me up
You can toggle them on and off or just hold a key to activate them.
I know but still the main reason for most of my crashes is that i cant pull up sometimes , dunno why
the SAS'es arent that important in the landings for me.
I keep trying to build winged aircraft that remain stable in flight as high as possible. And by stable I mean air worthy at 200 to 300 m/s in speed. Anything can stay in the air at mach 20

But that means we might see experimental versions by the 3rd.
I just want a lunar surface to shoot for
[QUOTE=TheTalon;32490496]I just want a lunar surface to shoot for[/QUOTE]I'm more excited for the orbit drawing view and time acceleration. I want to be able to see how stable my orbits are by making them run at 1000x speed.

I'm exited for both! :v:
