This game just gets better and better.
I've noticed that if I go from warp 10x to warp 4x, my periapsis becomes higher if I am moving towards it (downwards) and becomes lower if I am moving away from it (upwards). The same is happening for my apoapsis when going from 10x to 4x, if I am moving towards it, it becomes higher and if I am moving away from it, it becomes lower. This experimental is fairly buggy.
Just made a successful launch to a circular orbit at 230 km. Deorbited and reentered safely. This page has a great table of orbit velocities for various altitudes, makes circularizing very easy. http://www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/index.php?title=Tutorial:Orbiting_%28Basic%29
A design flaw.
What's this warp stuff you guys are talking about?
What's this warp stuff you guys are talking about?
Time compression, it's in the newest experimental release.
Could someone tell me a list of recommended mod packs?

Shove as many engines and as much fuel on as possible. Apply no science or control to the design. Survive?
Time compression, it's in the newest experimental release.
Experimental release? :raise:
Experimental release? :raise:
http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/download.php It's like an alpha beta alpha version.
Did a 3 hour flight, parachuted back to KSC, landed 100m from the VAB. This orbital map helps a ton. [editline]4th October 2011[/editline] Bad news is that they experienced 713G
You guys need to take into consideration the effect of atmosphere when you want to land at KSC. If you're in space and aim the orbit so that it hits KSC, it will land short of it. [editline]4th October 2011[/editline] But I'm sure you knew that right?
Yeah, I just used it to get a general feel. Once I was about over it, I opened up the chute and it slowed me enough.
Testing the experimental First I forgot the launch key, space wouldent do anything Then I notice escape doesnt do anything either Close game, install some mods Game spends 5 minutes loading (its still loading)
Moach's heat shield adds slight deflection lift capability to your command pod, giving you the ability to do at least some corrections your course, making for a more precise landing. It's also a realistic part to use because most space capsules do generate a significant and usable amount of lift. The Apollo capsule had a lift to drag ratio of about 0.35, allowing for it to be piloted on a controlled course similar to any normal aircraft. This lift was generally used to reduce heat load and g-forces experienced by the craft.

urges, for men. Also, delete your settings.cfg, or re-do the settings menu.
I created a Guided missile system made of 2 rocket stages, too lazy to work on my c ship
HMS Twat Steers nicely and has a top stable speed of 16 m/s (after that it goes SPLISH SPLOSH SSPLDPOSDL kaboom) I even made a submarine but in order to keep it underwater you have to have a ~boat load~ of engines on one side to push it under.
This map is a godsend, from someone who has never managed an orbit ever until now, and now I've been throing out elliptical orbits all da and finally got a near perfect circular one. (5Km difference between AP and PE is pretty much better than I'd hoped.
I want a lifting body aircraft to use as the command module.

He wants a pod with lift, sans wings. They do exist. They look like flying potatoes.
Kyle and I have plans for a winged orbiter of sorts with a cargo bay for satellites or station modules.
Kyle and I have plans for a winged orbiter of sorts with a cargo bay for satellites or station modules.
Are parts ejected by the rocket shown on the orbital map? If not then there should be an option to show specific parts of you rocket in orbit instead of just the command module.
They aren't yet, I'm hoping for some kind of tracking device you can fit to parts and track their orbits. This will have to come hand in hand with space stations and the like, so I wouldn't worry.

Guys, I'm not sure, but I think I just broke the game...
I want to be able to track jettisoned stages.
As I said, I'm sure that tracking of any part will be possible at some point.
I'm not 100% sure what happened here.
