I usually just put a small retro rocket on it using a small fuel tank and engine. It's always more than enough to get the capsule out of orbit.
i am so confused, my rcs rockets only cause my ship to freak out
I can't manage to make hardpoints work. What do I need to do?
lol I just got a ridiculous eliptical orbit, AP of 3million something meters (or km i forget) and a PE of 65km.
Should I first play this without mods and after getting the basics down download a few? Or just start the game with mods already installed?

If you could get into orbit without mods, you're set. Mods are basically a game enhancer, to see exactly how crazy of a rocket you can get to orbit.

Any news on when you'll be able to swap out your crew module (without replacing it outright) guys?
Also, if you're struggling with larger rockets (or using mods with stronger parts larger tanks etc etc) and the RCS thrusters, I've just tried out increasing their thrust to 10 instead of 1 and they work beautifully on big rockets.
