One full orbit is ~1755186,9km in circumference.
How the hell did you manage that? And, think you can record another go at it?
How the hell did you manage that? And, think you can record another go at it?
I'll give it a shot. I used the realllly elliptic orbit from my previous point, and used a very low thrust engine to achieve circular orbit speed once I reached the Apoapsis. [editline]17th October 2011[/editline] This is the rocket I used: I won't be able to get a vid up until at least tomorrow. (It's 20:50 here now).
Uhm guys just noticed something: Kearth doesn't rotate about its axis... The sun never comes up :(
Uhm guys just noticed something: Kearth doesn't rotate about its axis...
We've all noticed this, it's not implemented yet. Planned feature though.
We've all noticed this, it's not implemented yet. Planned feature though.
Well, in normal, modern videogame physics as I know it, collision between a moving object may cause clipping glitches. I hope they will find a way past this problem, especially with the Mün, because it, additionally to rotate around its own axis, also orbit around Kearth.

Not sure about the rotation.

Where did you get the solar panels from?
Where did you get the solar panels from?
http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=2251.0 Scroll down till you see it.
http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=2251.0 Scroll down till you see it.
Thank you My cheated engine and fuel tank aren't acting so cheated My engine doesn't have a negative 7 fuel consumption rate, nor will it accept a zero fuel consumption rate. My cheated fuel tank doesn't carry 1.0*10^8u of fuel What's going on here?
What happens if we break orbit???? Then god help us all.
You're not orbiting, you've reached escape velocity.
hence why he said break orbit.
hence why he said break orbit.
Ahh, I see.
Got a good orbit with my newly made lander (Silisko's Lander and KSP Silisko Edition) "That's no Mun" [thumb]http://s4.postimage.org/43v64axsa/screenshot1.png[/thumb] "Close enough by Kerbal Standards" [thumb]http://s4.postimage.org/43v4grlai/screenshot0.png[/thumb] "My boosters hit the Admiral's ship, he was waiting for me." [thumb]http://s4.postimage.org/43v7ruaa2/screenshot2.png[/thumb]
Alright, we've got the Mun coming up, now when do we get inner-orbital docking and multi-launch missions?
Alright, we've got the Mun coming up, now when do we get inner-orbital docking and multi-launch missions?
Probably the one after Mun.
Another successful mission, this time modifying my lander so that it's a spacecraft and not a lander. Circular Orbit. [thumb]http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/5696/screenshot3sl.png[/thumb] Almost! [thumb]http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/641/screenshot4vk.png[/thumb] Satelite Deployed [thumb]http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/3852/screenshot5c.png[/thumb] Launch Vehicle [thumb]http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/9529/screenshot7e.png[/thumb] Eccentricity of 0.004 According to KSPCalc. (that good or bad?) Tip for those struggling to get to circular orbit, once your Apogee is roughly where you want it on the map screen, or a bit lower, cut thrust and let your craft ride out to the Apogee, as your vertical speed starts going down, aim for the horizon and let your engines fire, until you're aligned to the horizon and your speed is up close to enough so your Perigee is close to your apogee, then apply short, quick bursts until they match, or as close as possible.

The links redirect to the website, and the pictures are there.
Anyone have a alternate link to the newest version of kerbal, Want to get back into it, But the download off the website doesnt work for me.
Your image host isn't working for me.
Fixed now, I think.

I have noticed, KSP Silsko edition seems more balanced towards getting an orbit.
I have noticed, KSP Silsko edition seems more balanced towards getting an orbit.
Orbits are both easy as shit and tough as hell with Silsko.
Did they change the name to Kerbin? if that's the case, that's good. Kearth sounded fucking silly.
I am waiting for him to add in lander legs and more powerful engines into the game himself. Its much simpler not having to use mods.
Did they change the name to Kerbin? if that's the case, that's good. Kearth sounded fucking silly.
I've seen HarvesteR refer to it as Kerbin, so I do as well. It does sound much better than Kearth.
I've seen HarvesteR refer to it as Kerbin, so I do as well. It does sound much better than Kearth.
Not to mention they're KERBALS, not KEARTHLINGS. Makes more sense. Oh and the game says crashed into Kerbin instead of terrain now.
Alright, we've got the Mun coming up, now when do we get inner-orbital docking and multi-launch missions?
I imagine the next few patches will still be adding moon related things like landers.
