Any tips for trying for a perfectly circular orbit? i have KSP Silisko edition 3.0 and i tried. at 900km i started the orbit, and i wound up with a Pa of 360km and an Ap of 54million km.

To raise your Apoapsis, make a Prograde burn at the Periapsis. To lower your Periapsis, make a Retrograde burn at the Apoapsis. To raise your Periapsis, make a Prograde burn at the Apoapsis. Now, what is prograde and retrograde? They are simply the names of which direction of motion you're facing. For example, if you're facing the same direction as the direction of motion, that's Prograde, and when facing the opposite direction of motion is Retrograde.
Heading for the sun and back.
Well, time for another progress update: The Mün is coming along nicely now. I've done a fair amount of tweaking to it's assets, and it's starting to look presentable. I'm still not quite happy with how it is yet, but it should be good enough for a couple of screenshots: So, first of all we have the Mün as seen from KSC. On the pad is our intrepid spacecraft, the Beagle. After a small amount of cheating, we see Münrise from Kerbin Orbit. Some more cheating later, we are now orbiting the Mün Kerbin as seen from the Mün The Beagle has landed! On other news, today I fixed up the relative velocity and orbit recalculations for the reverse-orbit scheme. The code is much simpler and cleaner, which means there should be a lot less bad surprises later.
AWWWWW YEAAAHHH
WOOOOOOOOOW!
How to get to the Mun: get yourself into an orbit, then, when you're in the right place, speed up so you reach escape velocity in such a way as you're pointed stright at the Mun
The Mun looks fucking awesome. I cannot wait for space stations and moonbases.
UUAUAUAUAUAUAUGH

Also, I really hope someone will make a lunar rover or anything else used for lunar research just like how the satellites gave us new goals.
Does anyone know what those parts are that he's using for feet?
I guess C7 lander legs on some vanilla side booster connector stage thing (I don't remember the name of it) Edit: Dang ninja

Anyone else making landers and crap just for the moon? I've been dreaming of a game like this since I was a kid.
Hey Swebonny What is the part pack you used for the picture on the last page (The mostly orange ship)
I've modelled a 4-5 part lander, Kyle and I will try and get it done before the Mun appears.
Pics! Also, if you could, in the texture put "This Way Up ^" but have it entirely upside down!
Now there's an idea.
Hey Swebonny What is the part pack you used for the picture on the last page (The mostly orange ship)
You mean the lander? http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=2444.0 The thing I kept my lander in was found here: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=2251.0 The rest from here, I'm not 100% sure though and I don't have access to KSP on this computer.
Now there's an idea.
Do eet. Its very Kerbal.
I wanted all of that, thanks!
Anyone else making landers and crap just for the moon? I've been dreaming of a game like this since I was a kid.
I've been waiting for the Mun since childhood. I bought Gmod and Spore entirely because I wanted to build multistage rockets and explore the stars. I mean, this is the first time I've used a calculator for any game, trying to figure out what amount of thrust I need to slow 12 mass units to -5m/s over 1500 meters, and then trying to figure out how much fuel I would have saved in 1/6th gravity. I love this game. No pressure Winstonn, but we are all depending on you to give us an amazing lander.
I get the impression that the default game won't be balanced for lunar travel for quite some time so altered parts may be the only means of making a round trip. A shame really because using custom parts feels much like cheating.
Use the challenger pack you need to put heavy struts everywhere and it no longer feels like cheating
Is there a way to fix that? Just set the breaking strength?
With some .cfg editing to make thruster fuel consumption more realistic, this is the lander I will use: [thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13781308/KSP Lander.png[/thumb]

I tried looking for it, but where is a link for the bail out tower? The one that goes on top of the pod and a parachute goes on top and fires a quick boost to pull away.
