My first attempt at building a rocket plane.
It works pretty well horizontally.

About the video cards heating up problem, that IS weird... There are a few SM3 shaders there that are running close to the instruction count limit, but that shouldn't make the cards heat up...
About the screaming GPUs, mine does that too (Geforce GTX 460), and that happens when framerate is insanely high (like in the splash screen or other simple scenes). I'll see about putting a cap on that framerate, to avoid the cards going over 1000 FPS... I suspect that could cause problems.

I hate it how the KSP boosters are extremely strong. Most of the time they tear up the rest or my rocket and it's a bitch to control them.
Ok, I put a framerate cap in place, set at 300. That should keep the cards from screaming.

Can you post your rocket design? I'm curious as to how you achieved that.

Launching a rocket with four huge orange fuel containers boosted by four KSP SRBs.
Hopefully this'll get me moving fast. :U
Also, I wasn't the one who made the 5k/s rocket.
Oh, and how did you guys get the idea for Kerbals? Like, their look and such
I managed to get to 45km, but no higher :/
So my computers: A GTX295, overheats and BSODs, driver failure
nVidia ION, no overheating and nothing bad.
Do you guys know why when Wegame is recording you loose all control of the camera? (no zooming and free-camera movement)
A volume slider would be a good addition considering how loud those boosters can be.

I'm trying to best your 5000 with the vanilla game.
I've modified my neptune I design to get 4800. The emperor shall be pleased.

Ok, I did a few new things:
The game will now lock itself if the VAB is open and the program loses focus. (No more parts clicking and ticking behind another window)
The flight controls will also lock themselves if the application loses focus. (this won't pause the game. That is set through the SIMULATE_IN_BACKGROUND option in the settings.cfg)
The smoke trail behind engines will now fade away as the atmosphere thins (as it should).
About the volume, the problem is not so much the lack of a volume slider... it's that when you have 20+ boosters strapped to the ship, their sounds combine to create an ear-splitting wall of sound. That is a problem I'm working to fix. I'll try to normalize the volume levels, based on how many engines are on at the same time.

Someone be awesome and buy HarvesteR a title, along the lines of I made Kerbal Space Program, or something like that.
Is it just me or do wings add NO AERODYNAMIC CAPABILITIES at all? I added some and it flies exactly the same as just the rocket would. Actually, worse.
If no one else buys him one , I'll pay for it when I get paid on the 15th and come back from my trip.
I put wings on my final module system because I've been playing with re-entry, they flip around and drop like bombs, that and if done right spin.
They do stuff, awesome stuff.

I can see this game reaching Minecraft-esque success before this year is done. So awesome.
I'm glad to see that devs are smart and are releasing their early builds like this for free. It generates a great amount of interest and it gets advertised strictly by word of mouth.
