So any idea when mun is coming?
I would imagine within the next week or so, as the only thing left to do is make the planet and moon rotate. unless the "other stuff" is quite a lot of work. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=3150.0
I hate how the advanced SAS doesn't keep my lander upright... at all. I constantly have to adjust orientation, vertical movement and horizontal movement. Needless to say that's to much for me and I crash and the poor Kerbals die just because the advanced SAS didn't do it's job.
Advanced SAS keeps the craft aligned with the direction the craft is moving in iirc.
Well, that explains a lot. But I need it to point directly upward. :(
Well, that explains a lot. But I need it to point directly upward. :(
Use normal SAS, afaik they still work the same as before.
No it works just like regular SAS, it just uses the craft's controls instead of a gyro or whatever the SAS is supposed to be. It's just really buggy and too twitchy. When it hits 20 km it tends to nose downward level with the horizon for whatever reason. Works a lot better with RCS thrusters activated, though it drains them really quickly.

Had a huge fuel tank with my pod on top of it, coming in for a landing and I disconnect my pod. Since the fuel tanks had fins it kind of glided into my pod and killed me, stupid fins.
What happened here
Microsoft PowerPoint happened. [sp]In other words, no idea; maybe a mod thing.[/sp]
Well fuck, now I'll have to take mods out one by one and put em back.

Wow, I believe I just achieved a more or less stable orbit...it's rather oval, ranging from 503 kloms at the lowest point to 680 at the highest. The brothers have been orbiting Earth for 23 hours now, with Jeb being the only one enjoying himself. I'll leave the game at 100x and head off for dinner now. We'll see how this ends. I definitely haven't got enough fuel in my lander to force re-entry though.. [editline]23rd October 2011[/editline] I didn't realize this game was so awesome.

Just burn retrograde, and your golden.
You know what that means. You need to go faster. And farther. For longer.
Yes and in order to accomplish this mission I shall construct a newer craft! This craft shall be named THE S.S "HOLY SHIT THAT'S A METRIC FUCKTON OF BOOSTERS.!"
If you want to deorbit, you only need a little fuel, just enough to bleed off enough velocity. Just burn retrograde, and your golden.
Seven days, 19 hours in orbit. Jeb is still happy, Bob and Bill still screaming at the top of their lungs. I'll try to get back to earth now, thanks for the hint.
Also, burn at your Apoapsis.
Also, burn at your Apoapsis.
Is that a Greek philosopher or is it a Greek mathematician?
Who cares, burn him!
Also, burn at your Apoapsis.
Thanks.
Any good tutorial how to get on orbit?
Any good tutorial how to get on orbit?
No. Go high. Go fast sideways. Go.
basically that and spamming between normal and map view to see what your ship will do.
I can orbit just fine, but how about getting one/more payloads into orbit? The addition of the mass always makes me confused.
