Kerbal Space Program, or: "How many rockets can I slap onto this thing?"
I can orbit just fine, but how about getting one/more payloads into orbit? The addition of the mass always makes me confused.
If you want to have a bigger payload, build a bigger rocket.
Also, heavy struts are your friends.

But that means more weight which means more rocket which means...
Paradoxical!

It works as long as the added weight is able to carry itself + more.
I'd say get a peak altitude of >65 km and about 5km before you reach that altitude you start adding a horizontal component until you have an orbit. After that just some adjustments...
What button to I press to launch?
I can't get 11.1. Erry .zip is empty. Can anyone post it for me? thanks
What button to I press to launch?
Press space and pray you reach it.
Just updated my game, found that a lot of the parts I'm used to using are now pinkish. Not sure if this has been explained in this thread. Does that mean there's something wrong?

Fuck. I can't reach it.
It's on the other side of the keyboard.

Check the OP.

Its your mod parts using 24bit pngs, it needs to be 32 bit. Which means you need alpha transparency somewhere in every texture. I fixed them myself because I reskin all my parts, but you will either have to wait for mod updates, or do it yourself.
What button to I press to launch?
The space bar?
EDIT: Facepunch, why do you show me hour old posts as being brand new?
Pretty sure it's the any key.
Where's the any key? I see esc, cetarl and pigap. Phew, all this computer hacking is making me thirsty, I think I'll order a tab!
Ooops, no time for that now, the thing is launching!

Ah, ok. I'll just wait for the mods to get updated, and in the meantime I'll try to find and clear out all the useless parts. Thanks for the response.

In that case your computer doesn't reach the specifications this game requires.
Does anyone know how far the Mün will be?
Does anyone know how far the Mün will be?
Tens of thousands of kilometers. I think there's a forum thread somewhere that has the numbers they'll be using.
If I remember correctly it would be at 12,000 km.

Well i got so far out that i crashed the game. So distance is not a problem. However landing and piloting my rocket is going to be a problem.
Does anyone know how far the Mün will be?
~320KM IIRC
~320KM IIRC
Given the size of Kerbin in the screenshots we've seen of the Mün, I'd say it's way farther than that.

Technically it should be less.
Kerbin is 1/6 the scale of Earth, and if HarvesteR is going to keep the scale (which I think he said he would), it should be 60516 km.

He is going to make it bigger and closer.

Actually Kerbin is about 1/11th the scale of Earth.

We need warheads. Otherwise my ICBM (which actually achieves orbit and launches submunitions) doesn't preform as I wish it would.
You can make a warhead by strapping a lot of fuel tanks on a rocket and crashing it to the ground. Or just do like the mod makers do with bombs; make a single stage only containing a fuel tank that you drop to the ground.

It is a warhead...it's just manned is all.

Here's the KSP Forum thread with the craft file and the required parts.
Upon further experimentation, it can actually get into orbit, imagine deorbiting it onto a target.
