Kerbal Space Program, or: "How many rockets can I slap onto this thing?"

I actually have a stable, uninteresting rocket platform. I use it for ICBMs and accidentally getting shit into orbit.
Low altitude, low distance test mission targeted at those assholes over there.

Bill was early to get the feeling of something being incredibly wrong and was about to spot the issue, but it was too late to tell Bob and Jeb, which obviously had been exchanging drugs in the command module.

This got me thinking.
So I drew my thoughts.

Got bored so I cut it short.
EDIT:
I've never actually played Kerbal Space Program, so I just now realized how fucking high up those eyes are, damnit.
Ah well, it's not like it's quality work, just some fun sketchin'
Jeimizu, your capsule things are attacking apparently.
I decided I wanted to make a cool payload, but I didn't know what I wanted it to do.
Then I made this:

It does everything.
Just finished my Mun rocket. May post screenshots later. (Got to go to work soon, textures aren't finished yet.)

Hither: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=2251.0
Is it sad that I am more stoked to play the Mün update than Battlefield 3?!
I been out of the KSP loop for a bit(wait the Mun uptate is out?) And what are the rocket pices that cover stuff up that i keep seeing.

Fairings.
Is it bad that I listen to this when I launch a ship?

Yes.
Chances are you're going to die.
0.12 - mun
0.13- space walking ?
Well, I have good news here! The planetary rotation system seems to be working now.
The transition between a rotating and inertial reference frames is quite seamless, and you really don't notice it. There are just a few details to fix here now, but the physics are working fine.
You can orbit both in a rotating or inertial frame, and it makes no difference. The centrifugal and Coriolis forces compensate for the rotating universe, and the transition control adds and subtracts a velocity offset when you shift frames so the end result is that your orbit is left unchanged.
Now come a few design decisions. One being what kind of speed value to display on the UI. I could display your surface velocity, but it would be confusing when you reach orbit. I could also display your orbital velocity, but it would mean a non-zero reading at the surface, which is also confusing. I could also rig it to switch between both modes, based on some condition, but there would be a noticeable change somewhere along your flight... lastly, I could rig up a smooth transition between both values, based on altitude or air pressure or something, to gradually change the displayed value as you rise into orbit. The downside with that is that during this transition, your velocity reading would be inaccurate.
I also have to fix up the tidally locked rotations, to get the moon always facing Kerbin now. Shouldn't be too complicated once I figure out why exactly it's going out of phase. Probably due to the rotation hand-over method.
Well, at least the more complicated bits of this are working already. We're very close to having a complete space flight system here.
Cheers
Moon sounds like it's almost done.
I'd like to be able to toggle velocity and the attitude indicator between frames of reference

I thought it was Challenger and was very ready to hit disagree.

Try Star Ruler :v

Shit's crazy. These guys are making the game I've always wanted to play and you can actually talk to them about it. I asked about the new rotating frames of reference, and what I learned from the dev's answer informed me that I'm totally go for doing insanely low altitude lunar orbits, on and off rails. I plan on using the rcs to dodge oncoming mountains.

Yeah, this was a game I've always wanted to happen.
Sidenote:Will post Mun rocket screenshots tomorrow. (Later tonight if I can get some time.)

I got some good news and some bad news.
Good news is I've gone 0.01 light years
Bad news is that it'll take 593 years, 7 months, and 29.5 days to go the other 0.99
Highest warp?
And Cheat Engine.
[editline]27th October 2011[/editline]
Also, it will take 20 hours 2 minutes 28 seconds at my current rate to get to 1 light year.
Should I make it happen?
