Anybody else get a G-shock on the pad? (when you look at the mission log you see huge G- readings)
No matter what rocket I use, it says the max acceleration was a few hundred G's.
Hmm so it's clearly possible to land on the moon. New challenge: get the closest orbit possible to the moon (as there's no atmosphere to slow you down all you need to do is be high enough to dodge the highest mountain, which should be pretty low)
I've wanted to do that since the Mun was announced
Anybody else get a G-shock on the pad? (when you look at the mission log you see huge G- readings)
It may be a bug by the warp, it has been a lot of issues with it since it was released, still, it is just experimental.
Ah fuck yes, i love the Mun
The huge G thing is a known bug.
Managed to land with half a tank left this time, on the first attempt I only had half a tank of fuel to land with as I had to fly the thing into orbit using the descent engine, rather than my second stage as planned. This time however I had managed into a good orbit and de-orbit using the S-2 leaving me with a full tank to land on that white line leading off the ocean, so I did. Stop playing and upload the lander damnittttt.

what lunar lander base pice is that?
The mun perfectly fits for a scumbag steve meme -Slingshoot towards it -Moves to another side.
Stop playing and upload the lander damnittttt.
ETA, 15 minutes on that.
what lunar lander base pice is that?
The entire lander is 7 parts that me and Kyle made, we're going to upload it soon and I'll give you lot the link.
I'm confused, the download page says the current release is 0.11.1? Isn't that the previous release? [editline]4th November 2011[/editline] Never mind, I figured it out. (experimental release)
Fired the ascent stage and flew back into lunar orbit. Just before my TKI burn: So yeah, the LEM works. We'll release it pretty soon. Should probably have a larger margin for error when it comes to descent propellant, that was cutting it a bit fine.
The real Lunar Landings didn't have but a couple seconds of fuel to spare before landing as well
Why are so many of my rocket parts red?
Heh... Red Rocket Something about the textures and how Kerbal messes with them. If you open the textures and re-save they should be Okay, I think you save them in 32bit? Someone else should know more
Yeah, you either have to save them properly in Photoshop, or resave them with Paint.
Why are so many of my rocket parts red?
I remember reading that it was something about the textures not having transparency.
Yeah, you either have to save them properly in Photoshop, or resave them with Paint.
Or use the Kerbal Image Converter which saves you a lot of work
There was a program that did that for you. I dug it up that post once, but I can't seem to find it now. Edit: Ah there :v:
Challenger 0.4 and the LEM. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=2680.msg26326#msg26326
The real Lunar Landings didn't have but a couple seconds of fuel to spare before landing as well
Actually Apollo 11's Eagle had 25 seconds of fuel left and that was considered very little. I literally had about another 2 seconds of fuel.
I'm starting to understand how to get into orbit, but I can't seem to maintain it. Any tips?

http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=2680.msg26326#msg26326
I just put the low resolution up, it's on the first post if need it. [editline]4th November 2011[/editline]
I'm starting to understand how to get into orbit, but I can't seem to maintain it. Any tips?
You need horizontal speed.
Does the challenger pack come with adaptors?
Does the challenger pack come with adaptors?
There are a few but most of it is engines, fuel tanks and solid fuel rockets. Not forgetting the general utlities like stronger struts and loadsa RCS stuff.
Well, I was waiting for the Mun update to come out and since it did I guess it's time to show this.

How fun, miss the Mun and now I'm in orbit of the Sun..
Yay. I had enough fuel to complete the mission (crash into the mun), however shortly after taking this screenshot my game flickered back and forth between mun orbit and kearth orbit before putting me back into kearth orbit, and it took me another 19 days to get back into orbit with the mun, using up the rest of my fuel. I had to quit because it started to spaz out again, this time between the mun, kearth, and the sun. It did that for like 15 minutes and then I just shut it down. Also, stock parts.
Fuck it's so hard to get to the Mun, I always go above it and fly off into the distance.
Fuck it's so hard to get to the Mun, I always go above it and fly off into the distance.
Stop flying towards it and preform transfer orbits.
