Thanks.
What happened to Kerbal Space repository? I can't download form the main site cause it gives me a corrupted file.
What happened to Kerbal Space repository? I can't download form the main site cause it gives me a corrupted file.
Is this only with one file, because it may just be outdated.
Is there a guide on how to use the payload fairings from Sunday Punch's Pack?
They're from CaptainSlug's assorted hardware.
I saw the experimental release disappear, 0.12 is out. I need a mirror for it, downloading it from the site and trying to open it gives me a "This zip file is corrupted or invalid" error.

After multiple failures (mainly overshooting, or not reaching the moon in time before it slips past), I have to ask: What's the best method to get to the moon with default parts? Is there a program or a table of sorts that gives one a good guideline for trajectories and such depending on a ship's characteristics?
Fairly easy, just turn east when you tilt and once you get in orbit, burn until your orbit intersects the mun's path.
I do that, the problem is that I either don't reach the Mun fast enough, or get in it's orbit path too fast and end up sinking back to Kerbin.
I do that, the problem is that I either don't reach the Mun fast enough, or get in it's orbit path too fast and end up sinking back to Kerbin.
Easiest way if the moon is too slow is to just retroburn until your orbit is clockwise, that should kill enough time to let the mun catch up.
I do that, the problem is that I either don't reach the Mun fast enough, or get in it's orbit path too fast and end up sinking back to Kerbin.
I normally get to the Mun by orbiting in the opposite direction to it and trying to line up the orbits.
I do that, the problem is that I either don't reach the Mun fast enough, or get in it's orbit path too fast and end up sinking back to Kerbin.
Just take note of your pitch angle on the navball when you start your ejection burn and maintain that angle for the duration. If you end up behind the Mun, you're angled too high, if you end up in front of it you're angled too low.
They're from CaptainSlug's assorted hardware.
There were fairings in Sunday Punch as well. But I think I prefer assorted hardware.

I'm gonna record me flying to the moon and back once I'm tired of Skyrim. Might take a while.
I prefer NovaSilisko's, namely because he did a proper baseplate for them.

This is my satellite thing, and actually my first orbit! Ap = 178,240 Pe = 161,087 Is that good?

Now just wait for the feature that i can leave that there, and go build another rocket to meet up with it ;D [editline]11th November 2011[/editline] It does have a small liquid engine, but no RCS/ASAS/Parachute so i'm not going to attempt to bring it back into the atmosphere again :v:
Been a fair while since I've played this. Any parts pack suggestions for getting to the Mun / designs / tips? I've already achieved a circular orbit around Kerbin but I wanna get to the Mun.

The best way to ensure an intersecting orbit with the mun is as follows: 1. get a circular orbit with kerbin on heading 090 2. wait until the mun appears to be rising along the horizon of kerbin. 3. Burn prograde until the projected orbit goes just about the mun's projected path. 4. Wait. It seems like your going to be going to fast and pass the mun, but once you approach your AP you will slow down and the mun will actually catch up to you. 5. once your orbital path focuses on the mun, burn retro grade until you have an actual orbit around the mun. 6.Land? 7. Repeat the process for getting back, only burn just a little before kerbin would "Rise" above the horizon.
.12 Is released http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/download.php
For some reason, I absolutely love just putting satellites and probes into orbit around Kerbin and the Mun. Specifically, just to see how massive a payload I can get into a stable orbit.
.12 Is released http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/download.php
It's released? For real this time? Because, I still have nightmares about Jeb screaming in terror when warp bugged.
It's released? For real this time? Because, I still have nightmares about Jeb screaming in terror when warp bugged.
Now now, there's nothing we need to worry about. We've made major strides since then. Major strides.
When in orbit and selecting Kearth in the map view, everything starts shaking when on max warp.
What cat?
