It's still going. :tinfoil:

Actually, I think I'm going to try building a glider next.
Challenge: only use solid boosters for take off, no engines are to be used after first separation. Longest distance wins.

Did I win?

Not highest altitude.. longest distance.
Hell, I've got more altitude than that with my glider.
[editline]19th November 2011[/editline]
And I used a single booster.
Well, off to make new rocket then!

They still haven't fixed the glider exploit, so it's possible to make them glide for hours from a very low height.

example
basically you just have turn symmetry up to 8 and add 24 to 32 wings, with as little extra weight as possible.
270 = same thing except going the other way.
Yes, but because of Kerbin's rotation it's easier towards 90º, because you've already got orbital speed in that direction.

Woah, that looks nice! Maybe someone should make a UFO mod when this gets fixed. :v:
NovaSilisko already made one iirc. At least someone has.

The one at the bottom of this pack?

?
Alright first try on covering the most distance:
Ground Distance Covered : 8377 meters
[editline]19th November 2011[/editline]
Second try.
Ground Distance Covered : 9263 meters
[editline]19th November 2011[/editline]
Third try.
Ground Distance Covered : 12753 meters.

Considering the fact that most mod parts are OP.
Considering the fact that most mod parts are OP.
Not really, I generally avoid using overpowered parts/combinations, mainly because it takes out the fun. I love design based puzzle games because of the challenge.
Considering the fact that most mod parts are OP.
Not really. Only early on parts were generally overpowered. Now we have the IKAO values and the challenger pack.
So uh...
What's happened here since Skyrim came out? I haven't been paying attention.

Nothing really.
Fuck yes, harvester is working on fuel pipes.
YES! Now I can make my CEV have drop tanks!
gonna use those fuel lines a lot.
I can't wait! Droptanks and hoverfucks galore!
[editline]19th November 2011[/editline]
Also, does anyone know if HarvesteR has said anything about horizontal ship construction lately?
Uh, so.. What now? :v:

Bring your Ap down to around 50 km, then burn retrograde to kill all movement.
Then burn at the center of the orange half of the navball for about 5 seconds, this is so you start falling.
Rotate around and begin landing stuff. basically keep it below 12 m/s, don't get too much drift.
Something like this?

No idea why the graphic is like that, but you should be able to land by doing a retrograde burn while you're falling towards the Mun.

Make sure to hit the surface at high speeds and without slowing down.
you had too much drift, and came in way too hot
you had too much drift, and came in way too hot
Just hover above the mun, and counteract any drift with RCS thrusters is what i do..
So, is it still okay for a completely new person to get into this game, it seems it takes a lot of learning to do anything.

Just download it and play and follow the tutorials. Look up anything that you don't know if the tutorial did not teach you enough. Or ask us for help.
