So, what part packs should I get for general coolness and moon travel? It's been a while.
Landed on the mun!
Now go home :v:
Now go home :v:
That's easy. Now landing on Kerbin may prove difficult.
That's easy. Now landing on Kerbin may prove difficult.
I could use the multiple parachute method in order to slow down the lander without using it's fuel and getting it down safely since using only one parachute leads to explosions.

I am sorry for your lost T__T but anyway. i made an RCS tank based off the 2nd stage pictures of the Falcon 9. Only the textporter image makes it look like a canister shell that will explode beach balls all over the place.
We were talking about geosynchronous orbits earlier.
We were talking about geosynchronous orbits earlier.
so the magic number is 2870km at 1008 ms. cool cool. time to launch a stage in one direction. turn around and fire the other way. then ram into them at 2000 m/s while watching the earth and aking a youtube video of it. it would be so unepecte. "oh whoa he has GTo orbit... " SMASh!!! "oh god what was that!!! did he divide by zero?" Do it!
Tutorial for the Keosynchronous orbit i posted earlier.
This has probably been asked plenty of times before, but does anyone know how much this game will be when it's released?
No sorry. it would seem odd if they only asked for $7. But mexico you know? So I made the fairings. My look at all that space. Then i tried to launch it with 100 extra mass in the fairing area. if it does get to the 2nd stage it fails to get it into orbit (which is good the Falcon heavy is for that) and just as i had hopped. sometimes, in true kerbal fashion, it can fail amazingly
Now make a nuke
Now make a nuke
Or a heavy payload section similar in size and shape to that of the fairing, and call it a kinetic "nuke"?
I am sorry for your lost T__T but anyway. i made an RCS tank based off the 2nd stage pictures of the Falcon 9.
Or a heavy payload section similar in size and shape to that of the fairing, and call it a kinetic "nuke"?
Or a million parts stuffed as a stage on top of the command module which, when decoupled, will fly out randomly and hit the ground in a cascade of explosions and lag. It would be the closest we could get to a hellfire missile.
Now that's what i call a successful mun landing!
Now that's what i call a successful mun landing!
How did you manage that? I've done it with RCS, but not with just an engine.
How did you manage that? I've done it with RCS, but not with just an engine.
I smashed into the mun and tried to leave but my engine fell off and i got flipped over and turned on SAS at the correct time to stabilize myself and luckily landed on the nosecone.
I smashed into the mun and tried to leave but my engine fell off and i got flipped over and lucking turned on SAS at the correct time to stabilize myself.
No parachute?
No parachute?
What use does a parachute have on the moon... ?
What use does a parachute have on the moon... ?
To return to Kerbin.
To return to Kerbin.
How would you do that?
How would you do that?
Take off and wait until you leave the Mun's SOI and catch Kerbin's gravity. De-orbit and parachute.
Take off and wait until you leave the Mun's SOI and catch Kerbin's gravity. De-orbit and parachute.
He just said he was on the mun without engine.. ?
He just said he was on the mun without engine.. ?
If you have a successful landing you can easily return, I wasn't referring to that particular landing.
No parachute?
If there was one its gone now!
If there was one its gone now!
It doesn't show up as destroyed in his staging, so he never had one to begin with.
Now that's what i call a successful mun landing!
I don't think you actually landed, the speed says you are still moving, through, I'll try keeping these conspiracies to myself.
I don't think you actually landed, the speed says you are still moving, through, I'll try keeping these conspiracies to myself.
I landed but did not have any RCS thrusters or thrusters to help me remove lateral movement so i ended up skidding.
