Kerbal Space Program, or: "How many rockets can I slap onto this thing?"
Now attempt a landing. Its pretty easy as long as you bleed off as much lateral movement as possible.
That's what I was going for, I had removed all lateral speed and everything. Unfortunately the bland moon texture confused me and I completely misjudged how close I was. I was traveling at about 800 m/s when I should've been closer to 80 m/s :v:
That'll teach me to look at the top readout more often.
Woo succesful mun landing with the LEM without falling over or being upsidedown!

Where'd you get that lunar lander from?
I tried making one out of some RCS tanks and it blew up :(

It's one that me and Kyle made, it's the second download on this thread:

Successful return to Kerbin.
Later on once docking is ingame, The ascent stage will dock with the Habitation Module/Service Module and get home with that.
Docking will double this game's potential.
Plus, when persistent parts are added and multiple command modules, we will be able to build space stations with just docking parts. THAT will be awesome.
imagine how difficult it would be to play that precise :v:
imagine how difficult it would be to play that precise :v:
Jeb would prefer us to use gimballed engines instead of RCS.
imagine how difficult it would be to play that precise :v:
With everything exploding so easily just landing on the moon, I can see entire space stations destroyed just by one pod going 1 m/s too fast.
that's how it's in real life.
Not that KSP is anything like realistic.
[editline]27th November 2011[/editline]
best idea: assemble a spacecraft in space in the same way as the ISS, but once it's done, fly over to other planets.
imagine how difficult it would be to play that precise :v:
I imagine there would be some kind of guidance system so we can plan missions and build spacecraft with symmetry while in orbit.
I would troll.
Hopefully there's an (optional) autopilot system of some point in the future, I like building rockets to see if/how well they work, but I don't like having to struggle over my own innate skill of being terrible at flying them.

Yes, four key controls are just too imprecise to reliably accomplish anything, a combination of joystick and advanced RCS based autopilot would be the ideal solution.
I don't think I'd need autopilot, because I already did tons of docking practice. But for other purposes, I would love it.
perhaps a path is plotted and then a dot appears on the nav ball to show you where you have to be to get there.
I hope you can zoom in on the orbital map thingy (the one in the HUD) and adjust the power of the RCS, allowing very precise controlling (which you'll really nee when heading for other planets)
They are all smiling and yet about to die....
Also, this is a Failcan9 Failur.e tried to get 100 mass to LKO. I put all 27 engines on high and the first stage crushed the second stage tank an and the cargo fell down onto the capsule. the Fairings ripped off and batted the capusle away from the rocket and blew up the boosters as they flew by. the center stage with only 3 -4 engines just spun in circles near the pod as they both fell.

Has anyone gone to the moon in a plane?
If not, I shall try.
If so, I shall try.
[editline]27th November 2011[/editline]
Also, whatever happened to the airbag WIP part? The one that failed miserably in that one video.
Yeah, someone went to the Mun with a plane. Try it, it's pretty easy with C7 RCS.
Also I think NovaSilisko was just making the airbag as a stand in.

Actually I think technical ben made that airbag part. He never released it because it doesn't work.

Yeah. Slowpunch for you too?
Yep, slowpunching due to that ddos from seth's buddies
Who is this Seth person? I tend to stay away from Facepolitics.

Judging from the average user of this forum, you're probably right. :v:

He was creating hacks for the Gmod beta, and Garry posted his address and phone number.
Apparently that made him angry.
5 points for Garrydor.
he created sethhack
garry posted personal information(check gmod lua scripting for more info)
Interesting. Back on topic, what do you think would be a good rocket to replicate?
Magic Schoolbus.
