WTF? i psoted this a long time ago and no one said aything :/ but why bother with that as an sas? :P it would need to be a decoupler as well :/
I am sorry for your loss. I do remember you posting it, but you didn't say to use it as an ASAS, or anything. http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1105753?p=33455665&highlight=#post33455665
So I was trying to make the parachute in that pack of mine deploy all squashed up and something went wrong. [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10492850/szajs/screenshot8.png[/t] Yup, it's roughly the size of that crop circle thing around the launchpad.
Got a small capsule returning to Kerbin? Use something else. The XL SuperSlower is for taking mountains out of near-Kerbin orbit.
Got a small capsule returning to Kerbin? Use something else. The XL SuperSlower is for taking mountains out of near-Kerbin orbit.
You know, I want something like that. Deorbit space stations, parachute into the ocean.
You know, I want something like that. Deorbit space stations, parachute into the ocean.
Or a thousand little parachutes
Or a thousand little parachutes
Yeah, but that would look ugly and be heavy. One non-connection raping parachute would be cool.
Yeah, but that would look ugly and be heavy. One non-connection raping parachute would be cool.
I think both are aligned with kerbal philosophy
Now I remember why we keep you around [editline]3rd December 2011[/editline] Orion Project, anyone?
The bad news about that Orion thing is you can't really attach it to another ship piece without making the entire ship explode. Has the link to the thread been posted before? If not http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=3550.0
Whoa. nice landing solid rocket booster :) I am currently makign the dragon capsule which wil also have a powered decent :D i feel inspired. cna you give my your effect details ? >.>
You should look at Slew's Dragon Pod
I hav seen it around but mine is 1.5 and will have a bit more to it. :) i think others might like it.
impressive
KSP as it's meant to be played
That's too thin to satisfy a Kerbal. [sp]Girl[/sp]
Did anyone say close orbit [editline]4th December 2011[/editline] Pic taken at ~305m (PE) and AP was 360m rocket's height is 84m if i recall correctly it was pretty crazy, there were a few mountains dodged by real close
If you got it orbiting kerbal you could probably have half of your rocket sticking in the atmosphere
.craft and addons?
Looks like K&W with C7 winglets.
That's too thin to satisfy a Kerbal. [sp]Girl[/sp]
Kerbin has no women, it is the most manly planet.
hey guys. an untextures, Un detailed, Alpha model of a self contained engine, tank, RCS equipment, Parachute, nosecone, ASAS Dragon Capsule Analog. Does anyone want to try and figure out the RCS effects for me? my Q and E effects don't work all the sudden T__T
Can't wait for that.
Bullshit, LarparNar posted those when they came around.
No I didn't, I actually hadn't seen it before :v:
You guys could include some radial SRB's with their thrust vectored outwards for stability (like the radials you have at the minute but less powerful and with longish burn times or something).
Funny you should say that, the 1m SRBs have their vectors ever so slightly outward, but any more and it just becomes all derpy and looks weird.
Also, the KW 2m fairings don't detach well, so my rocket clips through it when I stage.
Elaborate? If you have trouble with stages not wanting to detach, you could add the Ascent stage detaching boosters from the LEM pack to the next stage 1~ second of boost should cure it. That said I don't think the values were too low.
Last suggestion: 2 and 3 meter SAS and ASAS. I physically cannot find those.
I know 2m and 3m SAS's were on the list, and I think an ASAS command module was too but i'll see if I can get them made at some point.
This guy has played too much KSP.
[t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10492850/szajs/screenshot7.png[/t] Orbital rendezvous are awesome.
Can you couple two spacecraft together yet?
How are you guys able to make massive as fuck rockets? Whenever I make something thats over 1/3'd of the assembly building it instantly falls apart on the launch pad
Struts? More boosters?
How are you guys able to make massive as fuck rockets? Whenever I make something thats over 1/3'd of the assembly building it instantly falls apart on the launch pad
SRBs. They make good supports.
How does one stop the ship from bouncing around like an ass on the launch pad?
RCS, SAS and ASAS
It actually slides across the ground and shit and then falls over. No matter if I have SAS ASAS or RCS
Add more boosters. [editline]4th December 2011[/editline] Seriously, more points of contact = more stable.
I attempted to get an orbit around earth with completely vanilla parts and this happened [T]http://i.imgur.com/0sm46.png[/T] shit
I attempted to get an orbit around earth with completely vanilla parts and this happened [T]http://i.imgur.com/0sm46.png[/T] shit
What did you do? You must have just burned upwards.
