yeah I tired side moutned engines and fuel would not feed to them. so I had to stick them on the bottom. sort of annoyed about that. oh well :D
I've recently tried this with a joystick and suddenly found it much easier. Being able to easily make small adjustments is very useful on a game like this.
Binding launch/stage to an easy-to-press-by-accident button was a bit of a mistake though.

Make sure the exhaust isn't damaging the part below it.

Also, the thrust does not have to be where the effects are. The effects don't matter.

FTL is achievable.
Though I understand the limited recourses, memory usage, staff e.t.c. e.t.c. it would be awesome – hypothetically – to have the full solar system, simulated friction, black holes and such.

Could you also make a 1.5m to 1m adapter? So we can use that pod with other things?
Of course. I plan to make it useful. I wish I could figure out a way to get the engines mounted on the pod instead of the heat shield. on the pod they get no fuel and starve. on the heatshield you cannot land on land or they blow up and thus so does the heatshield and subsequently the whole pod. needs landing gear but there are no animations yet.
parachute landings are for emergencies only and for water landings anyway :D

They really need to add flight checkpoints. Because when I land on the moon only to accidentally flip due to hitting 'J' instead of 'H' it really pisses me off.
I have a mun rocket that works very, very well, and a muner lander that works very, very well thanks to the down under pack. I'm trying to do the whole mun mission without RCS.
