Pfft, it's doublepost.

The perfect lasting piece for a future human or alien civilization to find as the last remaining ruins of Earth.
Got a great screenshot for you guys.

That thing off in the background is the fuel tank of the second stage, which I use to leave the planet and head for the Mun, and also for breaking before lunar lander separation. I usually don't drop the thing until I'm below 5,000 m, but this time I held on to it until I was under 1,000 meters, which is why it was able to survive the fall (although the engine attached to it didn't.)
The mission I took this photograph during was also the first fully successful Muner landing I've done that ended when I returned home. Here's where I came down:

I love seeing rocket parts on the Mun's surface. :v:

Now that is a beautiful picture.

Pfft, can do that in two minutes.

Yeah, but it happened completely randomly.
Liar.
I NEVER lie.
How should I know you're not lying now? :v:
That's the joke.
thanks to aevionknight this is now possible. before the heatshield died on ground contact.
Right, does anyone have $5,000 to spend, and a prototype Kerbal plushie?
I wonder how much it would cost to get a replica Monolith there?
Once you release that, I will make a sexy orbital craft.

?
?
I've always wanted to have a proper dragon spacecraft. And that pod will complete it.
I've always wanted to have a proper dragon spacecraft. And that pod will complete it.
well since it is the complete dragon craft yeah :P
well since it is the complete dragon craft yeah :P
Well I meant I built a service module. I just need to add the pod and deployable solar panels, and it will be launched from a replica Falcon 9.
I want to make the trunk but I cannot figure out how to get the silly fueltank to beable to stak to a tank inside the trunk.
seems the game knows when something is atop it or not. I will have to conduct a experiment.

Wait what? Have you tried fiddling with the nodes?
I wonder how much it would cost to get a replica Monolith there?
It would carry a 3lb payload, so however much it costs to paint a 3lb plank of wood black.

yes. the game guards against this. I must say i am quite impressed with how harv has this game set up. you could have rcs and engines mounted in the weirdest way yet ASAS auto control still makes the work fine. so the slanted engines on the side wich are slanted up and then sideways. still work fine with thrust vectoring lol.

Well liquid engines are always thrust vector down. But yeah, the code is solid.

no. on the dragon capsule I have the whole engine turned. the thrust is actually where the effect is since you cannot change the angle in the code at all. thus why i was having such a pain making the engines work as i desired them to work. then i finally figured it out and now they are awesome. and because the thrust is actually pointed outward the thing is as stable as can be.

How stable is it? If it's anything like the Mei Long pod from the Down Under pack then it'll be awesome.

At has its own RCS, ASAS, Engines, Fuel, RCS tank, nosecone, docking coupler, and parachutes.
I think its pretty stable.
I think he meant like as far as landings are concerned. you can make it take off and land with out any problem. stopping wind movement is easy with rcs' ijklhn controls. Jhikln lol that makes a word sort of. I think i will name the RCS moduels that :d
