Someone should create a mock chatter voiceover for KSP featuring the Moonbase Aeiou voices.

I am now destined for this.

Just don't forgot the super mario bros 2 theme.
See, I can be a :ninja: too
I hate being sick, missing out on my classes is not good or fun.

I hate being well, missing out on my KSP is not good or fun.
But I know what you mean.

Thing is, if I miss a few days, I miss important work. And in college they don't let you "lol make it up." And if you fail an exam, they make you pay for the class again.

If cockpit view is ever put in the game, the background radio chatter needs to just be one guy saying aeiou and the everyone else confirming it.
Jeb: Now at Perigee, igniting the aeiou.
Ground Control: Confirmed, igniting aeiou.
Damage Control: aeiou igniting...no abnormalities.
Ground Control: Roger, successful aeiou ignition.
Jeb: roger, aeiou is running.
KBS News: And we've just had a report, the aeiou thrusters have ignited without problems.
a semi successful first launch. It requires more strut connectors then i would have liked. but it got to space. unfortunately there was a decouple order error and the wrong one ejected first. luckily the durgun pod engines have a secondary role as an escape tower (like th real thing) and they work perfectly)

also for some reaosn half size failcans need to have these an strut connectors to stay together. which is annoying.

I think that's the first rocket I've seen that can have a problem and not end up in an explosive disaster.

Escape plan :D
I think we deserve a sub forum. Why is it that only Minecraft can have its own sub forum?
I think we deserve a sub forum. Why is it that only Minecraft can have its own sub forum?
Because Minecraft fans are annoying and needed to be quarantined. KSP fans are awesome so everyone would miss us and probably leave the forums.
[sp]this entire post is a joke, btw[/sp]

KSP is just fine without a sub forum.
you see what happened to the minecraft megathread, it basically stopped compared to how it first was.

Imagine if they die; "Jeb? Jeb? JEEEEEEEEB!"
Ok you know what should really happen. Nasa should pick this up and sponsor it. Leave the dev team to do their thing, but get sponsored by Nasa so they get loads of money. It's exactly what NASA needs. This game could seriously spur huge interest in space and rocketry among a younger generation. It's exactly the kind of stuff real spaceflight is made of, but on a simplified level. Instead of making Moonbase Alpha, they should seriously consider getting stuff like this.
I was already super interested in rocketry and space before this game, but this solidified my desire to become an aerospace engineer.
A word of advice from someone who has studied aerospace engineering for the past 2 and 1/2 years; research the discipline carefully.
It's entirely possible that the elements of rocket design you enjoy aren't typically assigned to aerospace engineers. If you find engines the most interesting, a mechanical engineering degree with a propulsion specialty would benefit you the most. A systems engineering degree might suit you better if care for the "big picture" and/or the interaction of components. Chemical engineering could be good if you want to work on propellants and a space physics major wouldn't hurt either. The point is that an aerospace product, like a rocket, is rarely exclusively designed by a single type of engineer and you may find aerospace engineering isn't quite what you imagine it to be.
Mucked about in blender to figure out how to use it, and how to add parts to KSP.

Thinking of making it heavier, so you can actually launch yourself with it properly (to some extent).
more like a cannon.
Our student magazine that's sent out to all engineering students had a space theme this month. And guess which game was mentioned :v:
orbiter 2010?
Everyone on the damn KSP forums likes to necrobump shit.

Have you ever been to general discussion?
There's usually at least one necro'd thread on the front page at all times. (currently there's one about the breaking news that Michael Jackson is dead)

That's nothing. I've seen 10+ necro threads in projects and releases. GD is mostly shit anyway.

Fast threads is the worst by far.
I tried a few applications of the decoupler/cannon thing, you can easily use it to 'eject' from a powered rocket in case you lose control.
...Granted that the rocket isn't too powerful... *bumps up weight*.

You should just make it a light, low force decoupler. There is no need to "eject," when you can just cut the engines.
impact probe? You could use it to launch stuff at say, the moon.

Use an escape tower for that.

Or a PAM

You just gave me the stupidest image of kerbals crashing through the windows on the command pod while riding ejection seats back into the atmosphere.

Do anyone still remember that rocket that "jumped" to gain altitude? Like it had a really small fuel tank for each engine.
