Well, I got that far. Except they don't jettison.
Also, controlling your spacecraft is STILL really finicky and difficult.
And the compass still sucks.
And engines still cause your ship to spin.
And SAS STILL points you straight up instead of just killrot'ing you.

Probably you jettisoning them at the same time you decouple.
The second thing is probably (no offense) you being a shitty pilot
And that "compass" is an attitude indicator. Once you learn to use it, it's godly.
bug fixes for X2 (not out yet)
Bug Fixes on X2:
* Fixed the weird 'glass-like' artifacts in game during launch
* Fixed the parts not receiving mouse events on the VAB. This also affected collision detection on the VAB.
* Fixed the in-flight settings screen being drawn under the main UI.
* Tweaked the fuel tank surface attachment point. It was a little too close to the collider, and sometimes caused false collisions.
* Fixed a bug with the parts code that allowed them to bypass receiving gravity and drag forces if it's hierarchy root was destroyed.
* Fixed the map camera code so that it will remember where it was if you re-open it. (this tweak was left out of the X1 build apparently)

also is it me or is steam still having a shit?
Its not just you.

Awesome, and it does indeed seem like Steam is taking multiple shits today.
I think a cool feature would be where you could select certain parts as 'essential' or whatever, and when they are damaged and still connected to the ship you get a warning on-screen.
Orbiter spacecraft are easier to control the kerbal ones. :v:
Orbiter spacecraft are easier to control the kerbal ones. :v:
Orbiter has autopilot. :colbert:
Orbiter has proper instrumentation and rockets that people have spent countless hours on designing.
Also they use math.
Also, fucking bug prevents you making large spaceships.
Plus orbiter is based on proven designs. We make our own very Kerbal designs.
I am a bit of a fanboy.

What bug?
[editline]14th December 2011[/editline]
I still want a damn digital altimeter.

Then explain why I blew up on the launchpad after mashing my keyboard.

I'm not sure that's really weird.
Man, those fuel lines make for some simple yet powerful ships, I mean this can get to the Mun with no problems.

Save fuel by preforming Gravity turns instead of "lol fly straight up then sideways."
I don't even know what those are, I guess that doesn't help.
That's about it for now... If no new bugs are reported today, I think we'll be good for an X2 release tonight.
New Experimental tonight.
ARGH, these fucking spacecraft are so annoyingly hard to control, made it to the moon only to crash into it because the controls are shit and confusing.
Pushing W makes the globe move downwards.
Where's my quicksave, cunts.

It controls like a flight simulator. :downs:
Maybe.
I'm used to orbiters controls, which has the same push up to go down system, but it's more intuitive because you're not controlling a globe.
I expect the spacecraft to go up when I press down, but the globe to go down when I press down.

Fly the little plane, not the damn globe.

Do anyone know what music is playing during that animation?

It's NASA's own piece.
