I know I'm late, but this is a lovely sight. Today is a good day. This is my Apollo 8.
My Apollo 8 turns to Apollo 13 almost all the time :v:

I wish I could even break Kearth's gravity :< Anyone got a tutorial or guide to make stuff that can go far? I'm going to fly to the Sun.
I wish I could even break Kearth's gravity :< Anyone got a tutorial or guide to make stuff that can go far? I'm going to fly to the Sun.
Go really fast.
Go really fast.
And depending on the time of day, sideways.
wow helpful.
Nice [editline]18th December 2011[/editline] Now get back.
Okay... I'll just break orbit with the Mun... Accelerate towards Kerbin a little... Fuck.
I've been playing since .9 and can't get a stable orbit.
wow helpful.
What do you want me to say? You really do just have to go really fast. Solar orbit is basically reach escape velocity and wait.
Okay... I'll just break orbit with the Mun... Accelerate towards Kerbin a little... Fuck.
... And it was on this day that Kerbin got a second, much smaller and Jebbier Mun.
-fucking double post- [editline]18th December 2011[/editline]
Okay... I'll just break orbit with the Mun... Accelerate towards Kerbin a little... Fuck.
Burn retrograde at Apoapsis.
I don't like how this game doesn't simulate gravity beyond a certain distance of objects. My ship is orbiting in the wrong direction--it should slow down, and eventually come back to Kerbin because of tidal forces. But no, the moon apparently doesn't exist if you get beyond a hundred thousand meters. I think they'll find a way around simple SOIs later in development. But yeah, I agree that gravity should be handled better. [editline]18th December 2011[/editline]
Such is life in the kerbal space program
Say that to my face stalker, not in skadovsk and see what happens.
I just can't wait for orbital decay/persistent objects. I want to be able to launch and perform Service Missions a la Hubble. [editline]18th December 2011[/editline] Oh, and beacons to track orbiting objects. WANT.
Once we have persistance i will lunch so many objects around kerbal that it will become dark down there :v:
I've been playing since .9 and can't get a stable orbit.
I remember playing before .8 and I can't break the gravity pull let alone orbits
I really, really, hope persistence and docking is in the next update. [editline]18th December 2011[/editline] I've been playing since 7.3, didn't find it via FP though.
I really, really, hope persistence and docking is in the next update.
Persistance,maybe... Docking, Idk we still need some more Nav stuff for that , i mean it wont be as easy as orbiting
Persistance,maybe... Docking, Idk we still need some more Nav stuff for that , i mean it wont be as easy as orbiting
Well in the update, I would assume more instrumentation would be added...
on a side note I just got to 300000 or maybe another 0 I don't know it filled up the counter meters and back without a parachute, and I landed safely. Nuclear rockets are pretty good for landing actually.
Once we have persistance i will lunch so many objects around kerbal that it will become dark down there :v:
Delicious
Persistence could be a blessing and a curse. Launching a rocket and a satellite slams into you.
gravity turn?
gravity turn?
During your flight path, you turn towards the horizon to save fuel.
Persistence could be a blessing and a curse. Launching a rocket and a satellite slams into you.
Hence beacons.
i want it to be possible whilst re-entering that you could burn up and you will need a heat shield that isnt damaged to make it back. Thats alllll I want.
