my first orbit was when KSp has no orbital map. I stayed up all night to see if ti orbited. because there was no time warp either. it was great :D I iknwo te feeling. now you needto get to the moon and orbit it. i would not try and land the first time @@

What originally started as a few pictures to show some "people" who somehow thought you couldn't get KW parts into orbit. It turned into a giant mess of just random pictures and a massive mission. I spent about 5 minutes on this rocket, and it's all KW apart from one or two parts and the obvious stock parts. It's pretty big.
I don't understand why people make fuckhuge rockets to go to the Mun. Takes me not much fuel at all.
I don't understand why people make fuckhuge rockets to go to the Mun. Takes me not much fuel at all.
It's more fun to over-engineer giant rockets. My Mun rocket.
christ almighty the rocket I posted above made it WAY past the Mun with a whopping 6 parts not including command unit two fuel tanks, three engines, and a parachute (not pictured)
christ almighty the rocket I posted above made it WAY past the Mun with a whopping 6 parts not including command unit two fuel tanks, three engines, and a parachute (not pictured)
It uses the super OP C7 fuselages. Those are intended for planes, not rockets.
It uses the super OP C7 fuselages. Those are intended for planes, not rockets.
those things carry so much fuel it's not even funny
The newest download gives me a corrupt file, anyone have a mirror?

I use 1.2 right now too lazy to update also is it me or are the wheels in C7's pack really useless
I use 1.2 right now too lazy to update also is it me or are the wheels in C7's pack really useless
I hate those wheels. [editline]18th December 2011[/editline] They suck ass, they are just horrid.
Harv:
Well, for 0.14 we want to do something really major. We haven't settled exactly on what it will be yet, but we want it to really make a difference.
I'll bet on persistent parts/docking clamps

I decided to make a quite obviously Orion inspired multi-purpose spacecraft. The pod itself is a shade under 1.4m wide, so the whole craft will fit snugly our 1.4m fairings and carry 4 or 5 crew members. The heat shield will be an ASAS until entry-heat is added and it is required to do its proper job. It's still a work in progress. I like it. but it seems alittle tall. I always liked the Orions flatness.
Yeah I was thinking that, I may flatten it. We'll see.
Yeah I was thinking that, I may flatten it. We'll see.
It currently looks more like an apollo or the mockup Orion. but the real one is 10 meters wide and veyr flat :) I love it. I don't see why it cannot fit atop a miniature of that MSl heatshield thing you made earlier. just a little constructive critizisum. Otherwise it is pretty spot on. aside form none round solar arrays. but those would be awful to animate once animation come out.
for tonights final operation, OPERATION: SPEED, I will attempt to go as FAST as possible under 5km. the end result? max speed 400 m/s at a max height of 2.7km. let's just say escape towers go FAST so fast my parachute ripped off 95% of the time
Okay so starting KSP with 900 parts seems to break it.
While loading, press Alt F2 once to open the console. It will show a error once one of the parts break. Im playing ksp with 503 parts

Well, I'm sitting here waiting for my aerobraking to drop me. [editline]18th December 2011[/editline] oh nifty, my 5000 post was here
I've spoilt myself with mod parts. I downloaded the new version and tried it without any mods. I'm unable to get anywhere near the mun. Time to strap on more boosters.
