Dry SRBs are lighter than radial decouplers.
Yes but they are still managing to keep enough speed to CONTINUE INTO ORBIT
Till now, still can't reach lunar orbit. I am horrible.
Don't burn straight up. Use Hohmann transfer orbits.
Don't burn straight up. Use Hohmann transfer orbits.
Hohmann transfer orbits?
Hohmann transfer orbits?
Burn into orbit at 90 degrees if you want more fuel left over, or 270 degrees if you want to get there faster. If you orbit at 90 degrees, orbit until you see the Mun rise over the horizon, then preform a transfer orbit up to about 12,000,000m and wait until you catch the Muns gravity. If you orbit at 270 degrees, do the same thing as you would at 90 degrees but instead of burning at Munrise, burn at Munset.

When I've tried it at other altitudes it would sometimes work and sometimes not.

i did a trip to the mun, i used the Down Under pack alone for it. I put the Kubble into orbit around the mun and got back to kerbin using my command capsule's engines. unfortunately i did not take screenshots because i have no idea how.
I will come to your house and kick you in the nuts if you are using that 260 for PhysX
Mostly folding, but some PhysX.
Mostly folding, but some PhysX.
You do know that using that to render physx is actually reducing your FPS..
I made a ship (vanilla) for later use, mainly for docking. It can get orbit and have a bit of fuel left to adjust it. [editline]21st December 2011[/editline] and has a docking module with RCS
You do know that using that to render physx is actually reducing your FPS..
You do know that it's not? I've run multiple benchmarks with and without it and it's not bottlenecking my GTX570.
You do know that using that to render physx is actually reducing your FPS..
As far as I remember, you would have to go a little lower before it would be reducing your FPS. The GTX 260 is a little faster than a 8800GTX, so I think it would be about the same with or without.
CPU: AMD Athlon II Dual Core - 2.8GHz RAM: 6 GB - DDR3 1333 Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 4600 - 1 GB VRAM Motherboard: Some weird Korean company made this thing, I have no idea, but it runs like a champ.
CPU: Intel core i7 860-2.1GHz RAM: 8gb Motherboard: Gigabyte P55A-UD4 Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 5970 Case: Coolermaster Cosmos (It was the only case in stock that could physically fit a whole 5970. The goddamn thing takes up half my desk)
