Hey guise. Just have to balance and get the text stuff right and then make some Crafts and release.

Oh god I just tried to timewarp after landing on the moon; fell into it and imploded at the center :v:
You do know that it's not?
I've run multiple benchmarks with and without it and it's not bottlenecking my GTX570.

Nvidia's rule of thumb for PhysX is to use a same generation card (pairing a GTX5xx with another GTX5xx or GT5xx) or a previous generation card at the bare minimum (GTX4xx, GTS450, or GT4xx card) to keep from bottlenecking the PhysX performance.
"rule of thumb"
Have you experienced it yourself with the exact same setup?

Whats also a neat bug is when you fall into the center of Kerbin and, like the Sun, it launches you faster than light outside the system.

I'd say you're on the border, I can't really guess whether you should get better or worse performance with it. I'd say it's redundant to use it, though, but I understand your folding thing.
Guys i now get it

You mean the Stig is Jeb.
You mean the Stig is Jeb.
Of course, how could you make such a mistake.
Just upgraded to the latest version, and did some cleaning up in my parts folder. When I got into the game, I realized that I had gotten rid of an outdated fuel tank that I used on the Munshot-III, my moon rocket, so I decided to build the whole thing over again with the updated parts.
The important thing that I've realized is that the smaller of the two 3m fuel tanks that come with the Down Under Pack is corrupted by the new version, with a broken texture, and if you place it on your rocket you will not be able to remove it, and the game will crash. Fair warning to all of you.
Also, -Xemit-, didn't you make the Noyuz craft? If so, you did an awesome job. Funny enough, it was the fuel tank from the earlier release of that pack that I replaced, because the new version of the craft looks so much better than the old one.
...and I've just built and tested Munshot-IV by ditching Down Under parts for KW-Challenger parts, which are slightly less efficient but still get the job done. I still use the Mei Long capsule though.
I have a separate folder for each version.
~15 folders á 100 mb :v:
I have a separate folder for each version.

They are released somewhere, you know.
Originally this post was asking about tips for creating parts, but I've since realized that my model didn't turn out the way I had hoped, so I'll have to try again later.
I'm going to post a quick index of all the confirmed successful Muner landers we've seen in this thread, in the order they happened. I've always thought this thread needed a list like this. By the way, successful is defined here by these couple of rules:
1. The lander has utilized legs or wheels to stop movement on the Mun's surface without damaging the lander.
2. The lander is not confirmed to be out of fuel or incapable of lifting off from the surface (so missions that ended with missing Kerbin or blowing up in the ocean still count if the Mun landing was successful.)
Also, I didn't count any landings by a single craft more than once, but it appears that the Challenger LRM has been to the Mun more than any other craft in this thread. Single people may show up more than once if they land in a unique craft each time.

That's a cool idea.
By the way, would I be right in saying I was the first to return? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Hopefully that's enough proof, and it still had enough fuel to get back to Kerbin, even in the descent stage
Having ASAS on-board makes landings easy as hell

Here's mine from a long time ago. All I have is this kinda dramatic shot from the landing. I'll do it again and get more/better pictures if you want them.
I have a much older lander, its not as polished as the ACEV though. Let me check dropbox.

Updated. -Xemit-'s lander was the only one I could find by digging through the thread so it's the only one I could place in the correct time frame. The others were added to the end of the list. Neo, the picture you have is evidence enough, but if you can get a better picture it would be nice to replace it.
So i build a small rocket that was for small suborbital flights
I almost landed on the mun with it
Thats how i noticed that size dosent matter :v:

Big rockets look cool though. Plus I'm not into that SSTO no decouplers no parachute BS.
I made a rocket with two Challenger pack 3x6 meter tanks and the most powerful engine, then some fairings around my standard upper modules (chute, pod;ASAS, SAS, 4xRCS, RCS fuel tank;[; being decoupler])
Got a bit of a challenge for you guys that I've been thinking about for a while, might try it myself, too.
1. Place a satellite in orbit around the Mun
2. Land on the Mun
3. Rendevous with satellite
4. Return to Kerbin

standard procedure whenever docking drops
Currently:
1. Place a satellite in orbit around the Mun
2. Land on the Mun
3. Crash into satellite
4. Mission successful!
