What's in it? Harvey didn't release anything
What's in it? Harvey didn't release anything
I don't know, I was just saying that once .14 stuff is dropped; the thread will be reborn.
I don't know, I was just saying that once .14 stuff is dropped; the thread will be reborn.
I wonder what the "Big amazing stuff that we haven't decided on yet" will be. Persistance and docking? The rest of the solar system? Rovers?
Can't be a new planet. Harvey said that if they add one planet they'll add the whole solar system.
Jesus Christ, every other DAMN POSTER ON THE FORUMS IS A SHITPOSTER OR SOME BRONY FAGGOT! I needed to get that off my chest.
And have some stupid signature banner advertising their stupid rock-- Oh... sorry...
And have some stupid signature banner advertising their stupid rock-- Oh... sorry...
I don't mind craft signatures, but I despise all the "Aerospace companies."
I wonder what the "Big amazing stuff that we haven't decided on yet" will be. Persistance and docking? The rest of the solar system? Not only would that make space planes better, think about how that would affect rockets. You'd need PLFs to make sure you lose the least amount of thrust and fins to stabilize it... :nerdgasm:

Silisko's Vanguard shuttle is remarkably durable on the mun, impact of over 700m/s and only lost the engine (which was of no use anyway as I'd run out of fuel) skipping off the surface of the mun enough to carry on orbiting despite my orbit arc intercepting the mun's surface.
I liked his older model more than the new one.
What I really want in the future is a Star Trek/Stargate mod with epic space battles (in multiplayer) and shit.
What I really want in the future is a Star Trek/Stargate mod with epic space battles (in multiplayer) and shit
That would be incredible with a persistent world. It'd be like Shores of Hazeron except with even better damage simulation. You'd start off with nothing, and then a group of people from one side all launch a bunch of rockets designed to join together into a station, which then acts as a rally-point where others can build ships.
What I really want in the future is a Star Trek/Stargate mod with epic space battles (in multiplayer) and shit
I would give my firstborn child for this. [editline]27th December 2011[/editline] Imagine: Moonraker style space battles, orbital insertions, all with hundreds of thousands of players. In a world with no latency, gaming could be so incredible.

Snip
Give it 15 years, I'd put good money on latency being largely a thing of the past.
As if companies still wouldn't try to give people shitty internet that's still expensive in such a short time from now.
Give it 15 years, I'd put good money on latency being largely a thing of the past.
Latency will always be a problem, eventually limited only by the speed of light.
Latency will always be a problem, eventually limited only by the speed of light.
Well, interplanetary counter-strike may very well be laggy even at c. :v:
Well, interplanetary counter-strike may very well be laggy even at c. :v:
Well, considering you'd get almost 70ms just to the other side of earth.
Does this look okay for an ascent stage?
I always liked that kind of craft. [editline]28th December 2011[/editline] Needs more boosters though.
Does this look okay for an ascent stage?
That looks like a descent stage for some mars rover.
I like the look of that pod.
Nice. Also fucking great, there's a chance there might be auroras today, but it's overcast over all the cast. (?) Damn clouds...
Lucky bastard, I'm way too close to the equator.
If there's a big enough solar storm, auroras can happen all the way to the equator. And 2012 also happens to be a peak year for solar activity :tinfoil:
