Is it normal to get sucked into the suns orbit suddenly at 10000m/s?

If you move far enough away from Kerbin the calculation changes to use the suns gravity instead of Kerbin's, and the orbital map, speed indicators and similar also changes their point of reference.
You're always moving at around 9000m/s compared to the sun.
Unless you meant getting sucked into the sun, in which case, no you shouldn't get sucked into it all of a sudden.
Its easy to forget that KSP actually has relativity. Kerbal travels at ~9,000 m/s around the Sun. Therefore even while stationary on Kerbal you are travelling 9,000 m/s. If you leave the planet's influence you will be orbiting at around the same speed as Kerbal.

Yes, but the planet is called Kerbin ;)

Wait wasn't the sun called kerbin?
Oh wow, that emote makes my script bug out.
Makes it appear as instead of
Time to go fix that...

No, the sun is called Kerbol.

That's exactly what happened. It felt weird though because i was going relatively slow to the point i thought i was going to fall back to the planet, but then i actually jumped to the suns orbit.

All these things are named way too similar, it gets confusing.
do you think if they revived it they would fix up the second an225 fuselage or make a new plane for it?

You should make a smaller version, for use with fairings and smaller rockets.
If this thread closes, what should V2's title be?
