How do you turn off engines?
Throttle it to 0 with ctrl.
Finally made it, bye bye home planet
messed about with parts, going 50,000 m/s and still getting faster. oh and jeb is still smiling while the gforce meter is broken due to immense speeds.
Apparently some guys on the SA forum managed to accelerate their craft to lightspeed with some modded modules. O.o
Ok I think I'm about 3/4 around the planet.
How do you get the speed to just stay the same?
Play around with the power of your engines. I don't think there's a way to get your rocket to stay at the same speed without you doing it manually.
I have an odd bug when using more than two fuel tanks on the liquid rockets. It works fine until the first tank runs out of fuel, then the game lags like mad until I disconnect the liquid rocket.
Yes, we are working on getting that Mac version working. Being a Unity-based game, we can build very easily for many different platforms (sadly, Linux isn't included). But we're having trouble with some shaders that don't want to cooperate under OSX... That's why it's a priority to get the new terrain engine working. It will solve a ton of problems, including the shader issue with Macs, and the farside collision problem. Cheers
You sir, are a winner. Hopefully my main laptop's power cord will come in soon, and I will be able to play around with this more :<
Useless rocket award 2011.
Do I have to show you 'The Monster' again?
How do you turn off engines?
Detach them :science:
Do I have to show you 'The Monster' again?
Enough boasting about your dick, show me the rocket.
My current record: And still going! Aw yeah.
Do I have to show you 'The Monster' again?
Do I have to pull up my video again?
I think this looks pretty cool
Is the sun an actual physical object? Or just a sprite?
Do Bill, Jeb and Bob have different personalities? Jeb is almost always happy and Bob is a pussy, he screams even when i'm just going straight up.
Do Bill, Jeb and Bob have different personalities? Jeb is almost always happy and Bob is a pussy, he screams even when i'm just going straight up.
Jeb is sedated I think.
Due to the planets odd apparent density it creates a gravity well different from that of Earths. Someone on the Kerbal forums went to the trouble of calculating that gravity and produced a chart detailing what speeds you need to maintain in order to establish a circular orbit, or to escape the planets gravity well. https://gist.github.com/1073201 There is no point in bragging about the heights you have achieved if you have exceeded the the escape velocity listed for whatever altitude you are at.
Yeah but it took you 2 hours and 20 minutes. Woah de ja vu
Hahahaha wow, I just tried this out I didn't pay much attention and stuck the liquid fuel engine right on top of a booster and wondered why my rocket exploded right off the bat
I made something so heavy that after the boosters run out of fuel and I've dumped them all, I'm going at 300m/s, and it actually slows down gradually down to 120m/s while it burns through all the fuel while climbing high enough to start gaining speed.

Meh, it looks stupid and I'm about to hit the bed. Make a massive, long, throbbing rocket out of SAS units and fuel tanks and strap some boosters onto it, same thing.
lol my rocket fell over
I made Jebediah scream apparently. Am I good yet?
Hurr. Modded engines burn themselves out. Adding lots of slightly modified engines tends to cause the rocket to break apart. >.> Speed is hard to attain.
My current record: And still going! Aw yeah.
I think Bill and Bob don't want to keep going.
I think Bill and Bob don't want to keep going.
The door is right there you two, feel free to leave.
I usually never get past 50km's. I once got to 153km, but that's it ;__;
I usually never get past 50km's. I once got to 153km, but that's it ;__;
more power
