read op
Rate me dumb, I don't read.
Rate me dumb, I don't read.
Hearts instead
Earth (or Planet Kerbal) is gone; I'm at 2000km and I'm still maintaining an upward thrust of 1760m/s. If that chart posted a few pages back is correct, then I'm well on my way to orbit. Will post a screenshot of my rocket when I'm done
If the planet is gone I don't think you need to be worrying about orbits.
No- Uh- You- Nevermind.
that was the joke
I am going to take Jeb to the moon and create the city of Springfield.
I am going to take Jeb to the moon and create the city of Springfield.
Would be cool if you could research colony modules and missions required you to ship people/supplies to other bases.
This game needs a mini flight sim in it so when your (hopefully custom) shuttle for a working on a space station orbiting your base on the moon comes home you can land it :v:

I hope. :v: Along with a hopefully more persistent universe - so you can launch a rocket, return to the space center, and launch another that could meet up with it.
Congrats on the rock paper shotgun article, even though they didn't talk that much about stuff like future content and plans.
I think that we've reached the limit for how entertaining a height record can be now. We must crash in spectacular manners, and post results.
I think that we've reached the limit for how entertaining a height record can be now. We must crash in spectacular manners, and post results.
So begins the rocket designs with 3 billion solid fuel thrusters attached to it.

I hope that there'd be asteroids. I want to do that thing where you take samples from it by basically crashing a probe into it. I'd be good at that. I'm good at crashing.

Next thread needs to be: KSP - Jebediah's Thrill Ride Simulator
I hope if they ever update the crew, Jeb will always be known as the thrillmaster.
After cheating by having a infinite super fast liquid engine that will break apart for no reason on more then half thrust, and a SAS that can actually handle that, after 4+ hours, enough distance to make the counter turn back over three times, and going over 10,000 m/s, he is still having the time of his life. I don't think Jeb is going anywhere.
If anyone had the same problem like me when I go to the Launch pad and the game crashes, but it ran fine for the first time, there's a link for the topic on the official forum: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=130.0
I tried orbiting just now but I only managed to a "half-orbit" to the north pole of the planet before my ship started falling like a brick.
Does this use OpenGL? I seem to remember the 69xx series has issues with it (and I have one) and my card gets really really really hot when playing

I just hope we never get re-entry heating. No-one would survive. :V
I just hope we never get re-entry heating. No-one would survive. :V
It wouldn't be THAT hard.

Spacechem causes my computer to freeze forcing a manual reboot
I put one of those thin, medium rockets on and tilted it to go right at the ground. Jeb had a smile on to the very end. 7/12/2011 NEVER FORGET, TRUE KERBALIAN HERO
No this series really does have issues with it, not just "it runs worse." Spacechem causes my computer to freeze forcing a manual reboot
GPU heating up is a bug with the game, because the game doesn't have a fps limit or whatever, thus leaving it to run with 300-1000 fps. That's what is causing your and other's (including me) GPU to heat up. The devs already worked on a fix, a fps limiter of some sort. I just hope that they will give us the fix sooner than the patch release date, so I can play without my GPU having a meltdown.
