I say we throw a couple bucks in and buy HarvesteR the title of Master Rocket Scientist
HarvesteR can I make the FB group or would you like to do it?
I'll whip up a steam group, gimme a sec

So is 0.8.1 out yet? I'm liking how he is releasing it early.
No, he said he would post a message saying so when it's out.
But I don't know where, their forum is down atm.
I suspect he will let us know. He seems to like us.
I hope he likes us :tinfoil:
He said that the update is up, but you may have to wait for the DNS servers to update.
Use this: http://kerbalspace.tumblr.com/ to get on the forum if you cant.
I went ahead and made it, if you need to be admin/ of the group I can just add you. Or if you want me to delete it just say.

And the page
Where do I download the new update? on the website it still says 8.0.
Where do I download the new update? on the website it still says 8.0.
Wait for DNS servers to refresh.
He said he'd say when the update was ready for download. He's just uploading it now.

http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=74.15 Dem damn DNS servers
Harvester said fairings would be an official feature, so you can make a nice smooth rocket silhouette.
How long does it usually take the DNS servers to update themselves?
Try going in cmd and doing ipconfig /flushdns
This new update is full of excitement.
The suspense is killing me.
Argh still not up
Why don't they auto update when something is changed damnit.

Repost for new page
For those of you trying to get into orbit, a good target to try and hit is about 2400m/s with zero vertical speed at an altitude of about 400,000m. You can have some vertical speed, but it'll mean that you're not in a circular orbit, and you'll probably collide with the planet eventually.
If your altitude is constantly increasing while your velocity constantly decreases, you've reached escape velocity. Interestingly enough, even though it is constantly decreasing, you should never reach a velocity of zero. Or, rather, theoretically, you'd reach zero velocity at infinite distance.
To be quite honest I've never created anything more obscene.

The view from Orbit is terrific.

No, you would only reach zero velocity at infinite distance, if your eccentricity is exactly one. Doing that is virtually impossible though, so your eccentricity is either above or below 1. If it is above, you will never ever reach zero velocity, even after infinite distance. If it is below, then you are in orbit, or you crash into the planet.
Hey guys, everytime I build a spaceship more than three boosters long, my ship gets stuck on the launch pad. Any help? Also slows the game down like fuck.
Nevermind, figured it out. I was too heavy. I just added a bunch of boosters.

That means it's too heavy

You have to make a decoupler to a solid fuel engine, and just light off the solid fuel engine, de-couple it, start up your supposed first engines and bam, you will go up.
If someone downloads the update, maybe they could upload it to speedyshare for us.
EDIT: Why did I say rapidshare.
That means it's too heavy
It's a known bug. Sometimes the thing has enough thrust to lift off but will get stuck on the launch pad. Means you need to wiggle it around.
