I feel the need to listen to pale blue dot again when I'm about to leave earth's gravitational field.
Technically, that's not possible.
Bob and Bill have been screaming continuously for more than an hour! The fools! Don't they realise that they have a limited supply of oxygen?!
If we're getting every planet and moon in our solar system, I'll go and make a base on Titan, one of saturn's moons. Why? seas of methane :eng101:

Can you kill your kerm's from too many g's?
Can you kill your kerm's from too many g's?
No [thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/10565588/Pictures/WAT.png[/thumb]

How do you get those ball fuel tanks?
To all the people asking about the extra fuel tanks etc you get them here http://mod.gib.me/kerbal/mods/.

oh wow, moon should be rather easy if you'd ask me skip to 8:10 [editline]13th July 2011[/editline] 800 degrees? I think that's achievable with solar power somehow, it sure is for the Kerbals!
6170KM, still travelling at 695 m/s. All on vanilla.
It doesn't really matter how far you go once you escape Kearth's gravity. People have traveled way farther than that, it's just a matter of how much time you put into it. It's all about orbiting now. Or going as far as possible then returning and landing successfully.
I love my rocket. Maximum velocity I've ever got so far in this game (37155 km/h). Distance is still raising. I also love how Bill and Bob are freaking out their minds while Jeb is grinning :v:
Hope my power cord comes today so I can play :<
Ok, how can I start a tutorial? I skipped it believing I can do nice job without silly advice but my rocket fell apart immediately.
Ok, how can I start a tutorial? I skipped it believing I can do nice job without silly advice but my rocket fell apart immediately.
By settings.cfg
So got to 1700K and going at 8000m/s. It just stopped decelerating too. Can't be bothered to leave it on any more though, this could take days to decelerate.
Fucking god damn it with these ghost parts breaking my KSP.
I made a huuuuuuuuuge elliptical orbit, perigee 150,000m, apogee 2100k. [editline]13th July 2011[/editline] is it possible to use the orbit as a slingshot and go ridiculously fast?
Gravity assists require orbital angular momentum. The gravity of the body pulls the spacecraft in while the body moves along its orbital path, causing the spacecraft to be accelerated. Kearth isn't orbiting anything. AFAIK, it's stationary. To do a gravity assist in this game, we'll need a real sun around which Kearth will orbit, then you can use the orbital angular momentum of kearth to accelerate. If we get a moon, you could use that as well.
Baww, my part that I made doesn't load. :( The screen just goes purple. >_< Fuck.
http://www.mediafire.com/?3kw0m9jncdzcen7 This is an adjusted parachute. It can be placed on the larger parts and opens at 2000m.
If we're getting every planet and moon in our solar system, I'll go and make a base on Titan, one of saturn's moons. Why? seas of methane :eng101:
Because that will end perfectly.
Those orange sphere tanks are ridiculously overpowered. I'm going to use them to go for speed record though :downs:
They are pretty overpowered. With just a single orange ball fuel tank, it's entirely possible to place into orbit (with enough fuel left to de-orbit) a command module with SAS attached using only a single small liquid fuel engine. So if you want to reduce complexity to practice orbiting, try parachute command module decoupler SAS xl orange ball tank small liquid engine
yeah, whoever uses them, you should cut their fuel amount in half. they have way too much as it is.
Argh, why would my model, exported in blender, cause a purple screen on loading and cause the game to not load? I know blenders crappy, but really? D:
Because that will end perfectly.
I guess v:v:v. They managed to land some probes on it. [editline]13th July 2011[/editline] First the moon, then titan. Then I'll have enough cash to make the fuck what I want from selling methane maybe.
Argh, why would my model, exported in blender, cause a purple screen on loading and cause the game to not load? I know blenders crappy, but really? D:
Use the program that comes with the SDK.
Use the program that comes with the SDK.
It doesn't work. I can't open folders in it, and it can't load .obj files, or something like that. No idea how it works.
Please guys, PLEASE tell me how to add more stages!
