Kerbal Space Program, or: "How many rockets can I slap onto this thing?"

Command module.
I wish explosion particles inherited their velocity from the part they came from - and could bounce. If I had a single major gripe with this game, it would be that.

Listen to this while orbiting. It's awesome.
Hey Harvester I found a bug. If you delete a part on the ship that was placed with symmetry, without pulling it away first, green holograms of the object stick around and they get in the way of things.

Noted! will check it out tomorrow!
BTW, we are 400 downloads away from 50,000! :v:
Thank you all!
Cheers

I think I've achieved as near a perfect orbit as possible.
It'd be cool if some sort of stabilization thrusters are implemented that fire with the corresponding WASD+QE keys. Better maneuvering of large craft but adds more weight.
Also there needs to be an easier way of managing staging, it'd be nice for boosters to automatically decouple by themselves once they've run out of fuel.

Pfft, ME1 Uncharted Worlds is where it's at.

Can we get buttons to add and remove stages?
With complexe rockets I always find myself needing more stages than I have, and the only way to get them is to attach unnecessary decouples to the bottom of my rocket.
Wings would make it possible to make flights around the planet without having to completely leave the atmosphere.
I think I remember them talking about planning to incorporate lift.

An hour and a half into the flight, Bob is still pissing himself.
I'd love to be able to rotate parts, like to give it a spin :v:

Would be better with the NUMPAD keys.
The guys in my physics class have our own little 'space race' going.
We started off competing for best distance but now we're competing solely for highest velocity.
We're on Day 3 and the best so far is 6.7 km/s
How are you going that fast?
How are you going that fast?
Rockets, a shit ton of rockets.
I use a shit ton of rockets though : |
I got up to 5KM/s+ with a single rocket. I was trying to beat the 100g mark, and ended up going into space instead.
amazingly fun game
OH shit, didn't see the symmetry tool. I had been lining up EVERYTHING by hand, jesus christ.

But it was the main feature of this update. How could you have missed it?

I only just now checked the release notes.

How do you even fit enough rockets to go that fast, I'm managing but only to like 400m/s
Just finished retexturing the tricoupler and I brought it into the game.

What do you think?
Here's the download!

Yeah, where should I upload it? The .rar is only 1.27MB big.
Just hit three hours. I'm at 23,000 KM, and I'm barely decelerating at all. This is going to be a long flight.

show it to harvester.
show it to harvester.
Yeah I was thinking of doing that. That everyone would have it in the next update.
I posted it on the KSP forums. I think Harvester asleep right now though, it's 2:51 there.
Lol, I live in San Diego and I didn't know Mexico's timezone was 2 hours ahead till today.
Oh wait, it's sometime between 1-3 in Mexico, but I'm not sure which timezone he's in.

The second you leave the planet's atmosphere (or at least get to a point a few kilometres up where it's less dense) drag is reduced significantly. Liquid fuel rockets will propel you pretty fucking fast once you hit that height.
I use a HUGE multi-stage set of solid fuel boosters to get me into the air by a few kilometres. Then when they all drop off I have a 4 stage liquid fuel system which propels me from about 100m/s all the way up to 3500m/s.
Remember to hold down the left shift key to get maximum thrust.
I can't even load the damn game. It's stuck on the loading start up screen.
