• Kerbal Space Program, or: "How many rockets can I slap onto this thing?"

Actually, it would be really cool if the dev started expanding on the Kerbal, and then merge all "games" in one, so you would have a kerbal military designer, something like kerbal sim city and the space program. It would definitively use the masses of land the planet has.

I'm finally in orbit. My deorbitation-attempts failed though and I'm left stranded in an elliptical orbit now.
I want Kerbal ICBM Program.
How do I map controls for the SAS module?
It's stuck on joystick control. :<
How do people even get over 1 000 000 M? When I try to build anything big enough I get to like 100 000 M before I fall back to the ground.
I think I literally just stuck three big fuel tanks and that quad engine to a pod and let it take it's sweet time getting out of orbit. My problem is getting anything with some style to it to make the run, these couplers are so goddamn weak. I get Mongoose of Glory LXVII onto the platform and half the couplers just go "nope" and I lose most of my thrust.

Made a simple hovercraft. Actually ended up getting to a pretty intense horizontal speed, so I was zipping along just meters from the ground.
Name as many as you can and i will make a nice playlist out of em
JS Bach - Air on a G String is a really nice track to listen to whilst you're drifting through space. I know it's a bit different to those suggested already but you should try it. You'll like it. Also, Music should only come on when you're in space.
How much a lightyeahr/day/second is that?
Can anyone host the extra parts on some other service, both of those mirrors are blocked at work. I finished my tickets for the day so I'm going to play this. Don't judge me. Edit: Maybe I can just use TOR.
How much a lightyeahr/day/second is that?
About 0.0000002 lightyears per second...
[thumb]http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/7277/orbith.jpg[/thumb] Made with stock, non edited parts, can get you way above 100,000m
I thought you had bracing somehow, because of the tower behind it. Oh, and yours has SAS. I left them off to save weight.
About 0.0000002 lightyears per second...
Not the speed. The distance. [editline]14th July 2011[/editline] Oh god, the earth is gone!
Related, just needs a bit of editing.
Not the speed. The distance. [editline]14th July 2011[/editline] Oh god, the earth is gone!
Why did you say per day or second (/day/second) then? It's a HELL of a lot less than a light year. It's not even a light second. Another 240,000k and you'll have travelled as far as a photon travels in a second.
My attempts at making a lander have been fruitless so far, The parts never stay together when it lands.
I just achieved my highest launch at 70,000 meters. I feel good.
[T]http://zhost.tk/u/9u/ksp_pic3.png[/T] I stopped it there because I couldn't see the earth anymore :(
Related, just needs a bit of editing.
Kinda felt bad about laughing at that, that's a lot of money being burned there. v:v:v
Making a airplane is fucking imposible
Challenge accepted It's going to take a while though cause I've got to work tomorrow

If anyone is really itching to try their hand at going to other worlds, you should really try out http://orbit.medphys.ucl.ac.uk/ Its a realistic simulator... not as cool, and certainly not as easy as Kerbal. It has the whole of the solar system, though... and there are loads of texture packs so mars and the moon and things, so it all looks pretty awesome. Plus, there's packs which add the Apollo missions, which you can recreate. Should keep people occupied until the next big Kerbal update.
No jeb No play
Fair deal. Jeb is what it's all about.
Just curious, was Jeb actually supposed to act that way? (the laughing no matter what)
Just curious, was Jeb actually supposed to act that way? (the laughing no matter what)
It's been asked several times and the dev hasn't answered so maybe it'll be explained later.
Just curious, was Jeb actually supposed to act that way? (the laughing no matter what)
HarvesteR said somewhere on the orbiter forums that Jeb is the pilot, and what others find frieghtning, he finds entertaining.
