I achieved orbit at 50 000 meter with just 100 meter difference between the Perikee and Apokee :D

Exactly what I did, and I manually reassigned the parts into the appropriate stage. But it just skips every single stage before that and instantly goes to the stage that last part was on.

Reading the planned features, I hope that you can build your space centre a lot like Evil Genius.
You can have like a mission control to help you plan new missions, specialised rooms that will help train your spacemen in different abilities, Have like dedicated science rooms that help you research new parts with scientists.
Maybe even have accountants with a board meeting room to help reduce part costs and increase sponsorships (general money income per mission/whatever).
I can imagine there being like a gym to increase endurance the endurance of your spacemen, a mini-theme park to increase G-force withstandability and a room with a bear wrestling ring, shark pool and 24 hour action movie TV for increasing badassery.

Does sound awesome.
I'd like various launch platforms too, perhaps an underground, sloped one, for out-to-sea launches, a huge deep blast pit for huge 'secret' launches, perhaps some ICBM pits, a runway, and then the standard surface pads as well.

Different Kearth launch stations would be interesting. Maybe they could incorporate a mobile launchpad?
I'm hoping that if they have multiplayer they include some kind of kerbal avatar creation. that'd be sick.

I got to 20000m with a rocket made entirely out of SBRs.
It's so unstable it needs 2 SAS modules per rocket :v:

Soo how do I actually know when Im at orbit? I'm now at 380km travelling at 2km/s and my speed is 15 degrees above horizontal.

You're probably going to end up flying off into space. You have to be really, really close to 0 degrees to get into orbit.

Those are just plain old liquid fuel thrusters if i'm not mistaken.
On another note I had no time to see if my first attempt at orbit worked so I decided to leave it on overnight. When I woke up to my dismay everyone was dead but it had in fact orbited for 8 hours. Jebediah would be proud.
I like the idea that they are releasing the game for free in the (pre) alpha stages but this gives me a downer feeling that this game will have all its functions in end of 2012 (or something like that)
