All the extra custom parts make it almost no challenge to get into space or even orbit.
the warp engine is bullshit, it doesn't attach to the craft in any way what so ever
What the.. Some kind of cloning tech?
What the.. Some kind of cloning tech?
did you have multiple pods, it did that to me once when i was messing around
So I just made it to orbit with only vanilla parts. Gonna see if it is a sustainable orbit or if it just flies off now. Pretty sure it works out well. [editline]16th July 2011[/editline] Got two revolutions now.
What do the Yellow / Purple thing on your "compass" mean ?
i tired to make the nasa spacecraft from those vids. There wasn't enough thrust.
What do the Yellow / Purple thing on your "compass" mean ?
Yellow is the direction you're moving. Dunno about purple. [editline]16th July 2011[/editline]
i tired to make the nasa spacecraft from those vids. There wasn't enough thrust.
Nasa magic.
Yellow is the direction you're moving. Dunno about purple.
Purple is the direction of the launch pad.
DAMN NASA AND THEIR CUSTOM PARTS!
DAMN NASA AND THEIR CUSTOM PARTS!
I bet they have been modding the parts files.
Anyone else think that they had to drug Jeb to get him in the module?
Anyone else think that they had to drug Jeb to get him in the module?
no i think they had to drug the other two to get them in there with jeb
Give this game some time, replace humans with Kerbals: Oh, and here's a mission abort and rentry:
too bad it all got cancelled IRL :v: Go economic crisis.
the warp engine is bullshit, it doesn't attach to the craft in any way what so ever
It makes for a very nice decoration though :v:
Against my better judgement I decided to cram my game full of all the custom parts, now it's stuck on loading when I launch it. Was a fix mentioned anywhere?
How do you get into orbit ?
How do you get into orbit ?
Go sideways really fast.
Go sideways really fast.
Yeah, But do you gain anything ? Like speed or anything
How do you get into orbit ?
Right altitude, go completely level, have right speed. 0 km, Vcirc = 2425.56 m/s 50 km, Vcirc = 2330.41 m/s 100 km, Vcirc = 2245.64 m/s 150 km, Vcirc = 2169.49 m/s 200 km, Vcirc = 2100.60 m/s 250 km, Vcirc = 2037.88 m/s You're probably not going to get a perfectly circular orbit, so your altitude is probably going to fluctuate. On one of my orbits it went between everything from 96km to 110km. Your speed is supposed to stay as still as possible, but it's unlikely that you're gonna make it completely perfect. [editline]16th July 2011[/editline] Also an orbit at anything below 40km isn't going to work because you get atmospheric drag. [editline]16th July 2011[/editline] Fuck I forgot to do the deorbit burn before separating the last stage D:
So I just made it to orbit with only vanilla parts.
You mean you haven't been using only vanilla parts? :colbert:
You mean you haven't been using only vanilla parts? :colbert:
No. I've been using the extra packs. [editline]16th July 2011[/editline] But I got into orbit anyways.
We need the frontpage updated with all the custom parts

The size and shape of the main component can't be changed, but you decide how you appropriate the space, how much for a rover, for oxygen, fuel, astronauts, another vehicle, space station modules, etc. [thumb]http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/gallery/images/shuttle/sts-129/hires/s129e006235.jpg[/thumb]
Regarding the next OP, I will not have access to a computer by the time this thread runs out, so someone else will have to post the next thread.

0.1m/s too slow for a perfect orbit. [editline]16th July 2011[/editline] All vanilla parts on this ship btw.
AAAAHHWW YEAAAAH First full revolution! It's the most elliptical humanly possible but it's an orbit, but it's still fucking awesome. [editline]16th July 2011[/editline] And I kinda forgot to pack something to get out of it. v:v:v

I forgot a parachute.
I've got a parachute, want to borrow it? [editline]16th July 2011[/editline] Lol, distance between extremes is about 200 Km in height and 100m/s in speed
