Panther l/100
Am I the only the only person who thinks 41 thousand exp to get the 105mm for the T25 is bullshit. JadgPanther only needs 16800 to get a superior gun.
The grind is suffering
The AMX 12t is one of the best tanks I've ever used; for a tier 5 light tank it's amazing at doing a lot of damage and even staying alive in the tier 7/8/9 battles it always gets stuck in.
Panther l/100
Panther L/100? So it's nearly 700 meters long? shit, man, how do you even fit in the maps

me and a friend want to duel medium tanks together and just have fun
which nation should we go with? like do they each have medium tanks that excel in different areas or is there a nation that's just the best at medium tanks?
Are you planning on going all the way?
Panther l/100
You have my condolences.
[editline]28th January 2012[/editline]
Actually how is it? I never got to try the L/100
It's as average as it can get. Rather good accuracy and pen, but it's low alpha makes it feel pretty weak.

Go German if you want the best endgame tank. Go American if you don't expect to ever get a tier 9.
Trees and their memorable tanks

Soviet mediums
T-34 - pretty great with 57mm
T-34(-85)-100 - good moneymaker, pretty fun
T-43 - mediocre at best. Suffers from having the same gun as predecessor while getting to very high tier battles. Not really horrible, tho.
T-44 - apparently pretty great when elited. Probably fastest and nimblest T8 (dunno about Lorraine, actually)
T-54 - most armored medium (taking angles and size into account), while very agile. Not that fast. Mediocre gun. 1v1 brawler for short range combat.
German mediums
I don't know much there, they are mostly slower, less agile, but have the best guns - they are long range snipers. Very bad module damage and only mediocre armor, overall.
E-50 is OP, tho, with best raw hull armor, best gun, not being so sluggish and actually being faster than Patton.
USA mediums
I would surely go through Lee and M4, not through the light line.
M3Lee - some people swear it's horrible but I think it's alright, it has good gun for it's tier but that's about it
M4 - alright, nothing spectacular, but playable
M4A3E8 - awesome tank. One of the best circle-strafers in the game. No armor, low alpha high RPM gun, decent agility - final destination.
T20 - pretty alright imho, no armor but it's TINY, gets a decent gun and solid speed/agility.
Pershing - all around awesome, I would say that it's the best Tier 8 medium - good gun with minimal aim spread on movement - it's combat tank, sort of a brawler, although a bit lacking armor. I found it greatly enjoyable and potent.
Pershing - it's a T9 and they try the tanks to be balanced there, and yeah, it's indeed USABLE , but I still think it's simply the weakest T9 out of all of them. No armor, it's slowest, with agility probably on par with E-50, horribly inaccurate gun, and also in comparison to for example T-54, it's incredibly easy to detrack due to the massive tracks. USA tree just deserves the M48, and until it gets it, it will suck.
French tree is pretty awesome, but it's about to get massively nerfed, so I wouldn't recommend it, as they will most probably overshoot and make it useless.
Generally, french mediums (and tier 5,6 and 7 lights) have autoloaders, which gradually change the gameplay and make hit and run almost obligatory, as you reload for ages. They are rather fast, and have no armor whatsoever.

It's absolutely delicious.
Im going to fucking kill myself in a fit of rage one of these days, KV-3 vs multiple E-100s. Im ready to admit I'd pay real money for good matchmaking because my opinion of this digs its own grave faster every match I play as I literally am never in an equal tier battle. :suicide:
I sort of like tanks and mmos
will i enjoy this
Also can you actually drive a tank around and kill shit with it
The whole point is to shoot other tanks. Will you like it? Probably. If you like it enough at the beginning, you will NEVER stop, regardless of what common sense is telling you.

Do you have to rent shit?

No. Theres 2 types of $$$ in game, gold, and credits. Credits you get by playing matches, killing tanks, capping bases, scouting other tanks. Gold you get by spending actually RL money. With gold, you can convert free xp(ask about that later), convert it to credits(dont ever do this) and buy premium. Premium gives you a 50% increase to credit, and xp gain during matches, also gives you a perty clean garage. You can also buy premium tanks with gold, which give out tons of credits, and are low cost to maintain. You can also buy gold shells, but you should be ashamed of yourself if you do.
M4 - alright, nothing spectacular, but playable
Am I reading this right? Did he just say the second best tier 5 tank is "alright"?

As far as F2P games go, this is actually one of the best ones. Pay to win is nearly non-existant (except gold shells and the rare few retards dumb enough to use them in pubs) and you can progress through the entire game without spending a dime. Money in this game equates to metagame progress like credits and exp, but in-battle performance is not affected. If you suck dick with a premium account or tank, it's gonna show.

This still doesn't really answer my question
If i buy a tank or an upgrade or a part or a shell with "credits", do I get it forever or do I have it on "rent" like every other shit F2P?

T-34/57 > M4

After getting a lot of friends who wouldn't normally like WW2/Cold War themed tank battle games, I have come to the conclusion that something primal lies at the hearts of men. Something that hungers to see metal boxes explode in fire and shrapnel.
This still doesn't really answer my question, partly because i'm retarded

Everything is permanent except for Camouflage, which is purely cosmetic for now.
Camouflage is permanent if purchased for gold, and temporary if purchased with in-game credits.
T-34/57 > M4
Pre-HE Nerf: Maybe
Post-HE Nerf: Definitely
T-34/57 is my all-time favorite T5 med.

Sounds like a good game. Then again, most of the games with long threads on this subforum are.

It's the best F2P game I've come across so far.

No, you keep it. This isn't like other free2plays where it's pay2win, premium tanks are usually well balanced, and theres no actual pay-to-win of pay-4-skill nonsense. When you buy a part, a tank, a shell, a gun, radio, ect. you keep it forever, or until you sell it.
It's the best F2P game I've come across so far.
Best free to play MMO.

And then MWO comes out and we all abandon this.
