Haven't seen this thread in a while. Well, since the French are finally in-game, I guess I can give this thing a shot again. What did I miss, besides the new tanks, camo, and HE nerf?
Also, French tanks were first scheduled for Fall 2010, if you can believe that.

Decreased normalization, together with the HE nerf, made the already tanky tanks even tankier. There's also counterarty now, again, and top tier arty is no longer profitable, so there seems to be much less arty ingame.

What's with all the french hate? I'm loving my B1 and AMX 40.
The B1 is all round average with a decent amount of hp being a tier 4 heavy while the AMX 40 has a fucking sniper derp cannon.
Sure, tiers 1-3 where absolutely terrible but so far tier 4 is wonderful.

Finally bought my T-34. First round, I was actually able to DAMAGE a TYPE 59 without intentionally aiming for weak-spots.
I love leaving the A-20 behind already.

The A-20 has paper armor, and since I'm getting thrown into the same shit I was with the A-20, I think double the armor values and a better gun is a fair trade. I even sold that piece of shit A-20 because I doubt I'll ever want to drive that thing ever again.
something i've learned; HE from the Mk7 is VERY useful against other Tetrarches. 17mm minimum penetration for the 2pdr's HE; and the mk7 has 16mm max armor. I took half a mk7's hp with one shot. Not to mention who knows what untold fuckery that HE shell does to their modules upon penetration.
I don't get it. I was perfectly fine using the 87 on the T-28.
B1 might be shit but in tier4 battles you can still kick ass.

Why on earth would you want to do that? It's a unique tank (in b4 WG makes it available for 750 gold) that's actually good.
It's like a jet with a good gun. If you used it like the BT-7, you could flank the enemy and be gone before they could lock on (unless you got tracked). In the sense that the BT-7 has a shit gun and the Tetrarch can pretty much penetrate everything T3 and below and probably a few T4s and 5s.

I don't have the B1 (far from getting it and don't really care at the moment), but I've heard alot of people complaining about it (especially if the match ends up being B1 vs B1, takes FOREVER because they just bounce each-other's shots all day).
Hell, a LIGHT French tank was bouncing shots from a B1 today, bounced like 8 shots in a row.
So what happened to the french TD that looked like a land ship? I heard something about it being premium. It had an extremely short cannon with a MASSIVE caliber and it was slow as fuck.

In my B1 i beat other B1s easily by shooting their cupola. Most people just don't know about weak spots in this game and they just auto aim at the hull.

Problem with B1 is the gun. It's the worst gun of tier 4, check the tables.
It's actually tier 4 heavy wielding tier 3 gun.
