So first couple of battles in the d2 made me hate the tank since I kept getting into tier 5 battles not being able to penetrate shit.
And then I got in a match where I was on top of the list, fucking top gun and penetrating everything while dinging everything, first time ive gotten 890 xp on this tank, too bad it wasnt the double though.
Its kinda like the m3lee right now, great tank but gets fucked by matchmaking.

I played as Grille (yes, blame me for being arty), killed 5 units, damaged a PzIV until he had 10HP, only a marderII between me and him, the marderII managed to miss the PzIV 8 times (miss, no not-penetrating shots or bounces) and we both got killed.
EU server reached a record 63.8k players at once yesterday because of the frenchies. US server didn't beat its own record.

No, it's a T6 premium tank with 25000 gold; aka, it's a $100 gold package and a $10 T6 premium tank.
If I was ever going to buy gold again, it would be tempting as it's only $10 more. Now, the E1 and A-32 packs on the other hand are rip offs.

If they have the shit gun you can facehug and penetrate the drivers viewport. If they have the big 75mm, you are fucked.

Patton in terms of T9 mids is pretty lackluster, T30 and T34 however are being replaced next patch by more suitable early cold war tanks (T110 and M103 respectively) that were designed with the express task of cock slapping the IS series tanks (specifically the IS-3 and IS/T-10, which is going to be the new Russian Tier 9 when the IS-4 moves in the following patch.)
Get up to T34 and you'll have an American heavy tank that (finally) can go head to head with it's Russian counter-parts, and an ok Tier 8 money maker premium Tank.
I am not sure but did anybody ever say that the T34 will become a [I]money-making[/I] kind of premium? It will be a premium as in, unobtainable by normal means, but why would they undermine their market with premium tanks, awarding a specific significant part of playerbase with a decent T9 tank, which would be able to make money?
If it's going to get a money gain modifier, it will at best make it runnable without losses. I really wouldn't count with any profits worth mentioning.

it will be dropped a tier to become the American alternative in T8 premium tanks so yes it will probably make mad bank. also I'm not sure but I believe it will be purchasable with gold so it will be a normal premium Tank.
Nerfs to ROF and the obvious health nerfs to be expected but they've said nothing specific about it.
Are they still moving the T30 to the TD line?

Really cool videos. They remind me that if historical battles ever got implemented, the Tiger would be devastating. Even if only allowed it's historically accurate "short 88," it would decimate T-34s and Shermans with ease. It's not the Tiger's fault that it sucks. (Although much less so ever since... well I'm not sure what changed, but it apparently got a lot better.) It's just that it gets constantly put against stuff that it never would have seen in real life either because it was a design on a paper napkin or because the Tiger was already being phased out by that time of the war.
Makes me want to re-buy my old Tiger.

the effective front armor is around 150-155mm. Can't get through that with short 88's pen

Heavies is more reliable, but depending on how fast you grind you will have to deal with the T34/T30 tanks that are more like tank destroyers. They are being replaced sometime in the future though.

If by "lackluster" you mean "The best tank in the game statistically and obviously more effective than the T-54 in the metagame".

It's going to get a health boost atleast. What they envisioned awhile ago, who knows if its still true, is that the IS-4 would be the turtle heavy (like the Maus) and the IS-7 will remain the more mobile option.

Health buff, possible gun change (not sure) and it's been confirmed that the armor will go back to 160 from the current 140.
They also said something about removing/decreasing the driver window weakspot.
I think that would be rather fair. KV can easily penetrate the driver's hatch with it's 107mm.
