Is it just me or has the Object-704 become nearly extinct in the US server?
I see the other TDs and the occasional ISUs but other than that, I rarely see 704s.
New thread smell. Last one was starting to rot.
Any EU player here with the T59? We could test how easy it is to ammo rack.
How do they have the Tetrarch model? I thought it isn't released yet.

704's are shit near as I can tell. I penned one twice frontally with my T29's 105mm
I haven't played this since the shortly after the American update. I got pissed because I got really far in Closed Beta and didnt allocate my experience well enough when they restarted. So it became a grind again.
And I though light tanks would be fun. Nope

People are always so quick to hop to the defense of the T59. Frankly it is ridiculous. The most common response they give you is to flank it.
Flanking a type 59 is not like flanking a lowe or a KV-5. Flanking something with a 45 degree per second traverse speed and a 56km/h top speed is not as easy as it sound.
Then there is the argument that it is easy to ammo rack or set on fire.
Well, when you have trouble penetrating the frontal armor past about 75m with the 75mm L/100, I think you can cross that one off.

Even the 90mm can pen the upper part of the armor, the lower hull can be penetrated by a M1A1/M1A2.
Hell, even my Patton dings more stuff than this piece of crap. I miss the days where it was feared by IS-7s and Mauses alike, it's just a bad tank that got a "OH GOD RUN" reputation that faded away with time.
704 is not an assault TD like the jagdtiger or T95. It's a long range killer.

Implying 0.34 accuracy is able to hit stuff over long distances.
If there's a long range killer in this game, it's the JT. The 704 just tries to be a mobile TD with a "shoot and get back to cover gun" but it fails at everything.

I still firmly believe that they should introduce tier 10 TD's and medium tanks, or not have tier 10's to begin with.

Detrack -> Hit in side
Alternately, hit in upper plate of upper armor / commander's cupola / side + rear turret armor and side + rear hull armor / gun / hit the tracks and let others deal the damage

Crit means you hit a module.
I'm pretty sure that hitting their rack would do something, his RoF decreased significantly right after

The turret is made of bounce-inium. The rest of the front is made of paper, and can be easily penned by the long 88 of a tiger, I eat them all day long in my tiger. When I'm playing my type 59, I loose almost all head to head battles to T29's and the like 1v1. If you guys would stop cowering so much and actually face a type 59 1v1, they're very easy. Theres the complaint of there being too many Type 59's and I agree, but any tank is deadly when theres 3 of them rolling together. Like artillery, there needs to be a limit to the amount of Type 59's in a match, it's ridiculous at how many can get into one match.

Question of the day being why are you going head to head with heavies in your medium.

also, the argument "you need to learn how to fight it furrghh" is garbage.
The fact that there are some tanks you have to learn how to fight, and some that you don't suggests an enormous inbalance. You're not deflecting the claim of it being OP, you're [I]accepting[/I] it.
Anyone who dislikes the T59 needs to rethink their life plan.

I don't actively charge at heavies in my Type 59's, I either get hit/picked off at range or I get into a situation where a heavy rushes me from around a corner at ramming range.
