i think he means the communities
I am getting back into this game since having stopped when beta ended. So far I've noticed several things different: Several more premium tanks available, new maps but i still get malinovka more than i would like, and a completely new nation the French.
I am wondering which tech tree you guys would recommend as being the most fun to work through. I dont care much for SPGs though, but I am willing to give TDs a chance. So far I have worked my way through the AMX 38, and just need the money to buy the AMX 40 now, but I dont know if I want to be doing the whole light tanks thing again, I kind of want to try heavies, or at least mediums. In beta all I did was light tanks.
So with all of that in mind, what do you guys think?

Soviet heavy tree is decent
Soviet heavy tree is a popular option, since it's fairly easy to play.

US is also new to you if you stopped after the beta. Along with several additions to the existing trees like the new German heavy line, and high tier arties for all nations.

Don't start with TDs or light tanks. Stick to the tried and true: US Mediums and Heavies (if you can brave the T1/M6), German Heavies, USSR Mediums and Heavies. USSR Heavies are probably the most forgiving to the user who makes mistakes, making it a popular noob tree. If you don't mind a bit of a challenge German and US Heavies get great tanks higher up the line. US and USSR meds are in the middle (though they have great end-game tanks)... TD lines, German meds, and French tanks in general are hard mode. They're not all bad tanks, but there is a learning curve (and TDs are kind of outperformed by SPGs and regular tanks in most circumstances)
I would greatly recommend US TDs, even for beginners.
I would not recommend US mediums because Patton blows.

I mean ok it might not be a horribad tank but admit it, E-50 completely outclasses it, and I am not even talking about BatChat.
FINALLY researched the damn T-44 after 200 battles in the t-43
now i need some free exp for the tracks
What does setting a tank as primary/ reserve do
What does setting a tank as primary/ reserve do
Makes it closer to the left on your tank line.
Essentially nothing.
holy shit, this T-44 is already really mobile with stock engine/tracks

Anything is more mobile than the unarmored, unarmed, slow, module laden BRICK that is the T-43

Compared to Valve Tripwire is pretty good.

You're just bad at driving the Patton.

The patton doesn't really shine.
For like ages I never really distinguished between the patton or pershing, just a generic killable med for a t9 heavy.
Finally finished grinding that dreadful AMX M4(1945), AMX 50 100 is already 10 times more fun half stock.
I can unlock the amx m4 with the bit of free exp i've got. But I really can't be arsed.

I really hated it. It's so big you get spotted everywhere, horrible armour, no gun depression and poor DPS.
Do you know which tank would have been great as the tier 8 medium premium? The T23, in its fully upgraded format (or maybe with a slightly less powerful engine). Give it the same matchmaking as the type 59, and you will find that there are far less complaints about it than the type59, as lower tiers (other than tier 7 heavies or TD's) can actually penetrate it from the front.
You're just bad at driving the Patton.
I am not actually considering my experience with driving Patton, because I have none for ages, but my experience with killing Patton after Patton in my E-75, for which they pose minor treat, with E-50s being something much much worse.
E-50 is slightly better than the Patton, and both are noticeably better than the T-54 in actual gameplay.
Why do we have this discussion every 5 pages.
Thing is that endgame mediums suck overall, as pretty much everything endgame sucks, but heavies and arty.
[sp]Only patton sucks even more than the rest.[/sp]

Tripwire is a great developer. They keep contributing to their games for years.

If anything, Wargaming should be compared to Creative Assembly.
Well. CA gets shit done and had a strategy game series that is still pretty decent if you're not playing online.
I recently got another pair of speakers. because my computer has enough output jacks for like a fuckload I set up quadrophonic speaker setup right now
WoT is fucking audio gold with quadraphonic setups
I do like hearing shells whistle over my head with my decent headset.
It sounds amazing when a shot hits close to you but not on you, it's like audio depth perception
I just came back from this match:
