Oh god the Chzo Mythos, I'v played through all of the games and some of them more than once. It's pretty twisted when you get the big picture after playing all of them.
Saints Row the Third
Inspired by this thread I started playing LSD, it's not as good as it's hyped up to be. It's not scary at all, frankly it's annoying. No idea what to do but I got to day seven. The best thing I saw was a flying head that shouted at me. This made me laugh though.
Hopefully someone knows what I'm talking about. It was a GBA rom with low quality songs from some rock/metal band and the gameplay was nothing but a square field in a vaguely Doom-like engine. It was populated by strange, screaming, static children who emitted no sound and had no eyes. You could walk just right through them, but they'd always be staring at you due to being static sprites (like trees in Mario 64, if you know what I mean). Their only animation was flipping their sprite horizontally.

I fucking hate those bastards, they force you to spend an hour inside an infected house. Also they're just chilling around laughing at you while poeple are suffering around them.
I just got eaten by a Lion in the LSD simulator, I was then transported to a place with just a single tree Walked for ages and ages, until I saw a long tunnel that took forever to go down. When I emerged I saw this figure that looked like god amongst the light. I walked for ever to get to god, as I got closer to him he seemed to get further away and my footsteps became slower and slower. He then disappeared completely, then so did the light, and there stood a.. I touched the peacock (LOL) and then I was transported to another land, and I could hear a train but not see it. I waited for ages for it, it didn't come. I started to walk down the train tunnel and it appeared, then I turned into the train. Going to play more now, will write more!
Yume Nikki
Just awoken in-game to this. Then it disappeared It re-appeared suddenly and then I was in a different place. I could see a question mark hovering above the ground so I walked towards it. I touched the question mark then appeared here. Walking to the end of that bit, I then briefly saw "Love" Shortly after wards I was taken elsewhere and saw a huge devil woman that was running towards me. After going in the opposite direction a cloaked figure appeared and walked towards me. Then I was taken to this place, and then I quit.
It's very difficult to make a disturbing video game using todays hyper realism graphics without descending into gore everything and weird imagery and horror. LSD and all those other creepy japanese games get half of their charm from the low poly models they use.
I still don't think it's freaky/creepy or disturbing. It's more random then anything, it doesn't make sense. Maybe it's nothing to do with the poly count and more to do with the generation that did play that game and the generation playing it now. We have become almost immune to things like LSD mainly in my opinion due to the Internet, which exposes us too so much weird crap that it just becomes normal for us.

It sounds cheesy, but it's true. LSD trains you to find it creepy, just keep playing and you'll start to freak out.
Dont know if you guys know about this game, ive never been a fan of kiss myself but I used to play this GOD-FORSAKEN DAMNED GAME that creeped the shit out of me. Kiss: Psycho circus Dreamcast, PC. also had a kickass steampunk gun which made dense black fog when it over heated if i recall right
Does corruption of the champions count as bizarre?
Bad Mojo was an adventure game for the PC and Mac where you played as a man who's been turned into a cockroach. Basically Franz Kafka's Metamorphosis: The Game. Edit: Just realised that this rat managed to get killed by the part of a razor which isn't sharp. Amazing.

[editline]16th January 2012[/editline] Also, does anyone remember the name of the game where its just an island with day and night cycles. Literally nothing else on the island except you and trees, etc. It wasn't meant to be scary, but it had the creepy vibe to it because you were all alone.
Endless Forest Golf? (followed by the much less bizarre Hockey?) Seaman Ribbit King.
Bad Mojo
Ah, I knew I was forgetting something from my list (Still think I am, some game similar to Harvester I can't remember the game of), awesome game. Also, Feeble Files. For a bizarre bit of mid-nineties adventure gaming. And Sentinel Returns, which is so strange I still have no idea how to play it.
Just want to add that I really recommend people to play Pathologic, it has one of the best atmospheres in a game and it is very long(in a good way), also the music really adds to the game making it even more awesome.
Does corruption of the champions count as bizarre?
short answer is: yes. long answer is: very yes, although most games of CoC's nature generally inspire feelings of "what the fuck am I playing" anyways... basically, the entire fucking genre should really count as bizarre...

Still seems to have the same idea of just letting you wander around aimlessly, exploring for exploration's sake.
one of my first games ever the most terrifying one by far
The later levels of Zeno Clash are increasingly disjointed and random. Brilliant atmosphere to them though.
