Yeah but it's not that great right now, the interior that is.
People who preorder should have some form of 10 day trial guest passes I think.
If this is true could someone send me a PM? I'm really interested in this game.
I don't have a guest pass.. but I have 2 spare headstart codes.
What are those?
What are those?
allow you to play till you need to enter a retail key which would probably be a day or two after official release. fffff. Entered Bhea system and I guess it must be down. Locked out :(
Humm, well. I may just purchase the game, i dunno. I really want to give it a spin before i put 50-65 bucks down for it.
Well, there's a simple way to tell if you will like this game before you buy it? Do you like Star Trek? Do you like MMOs? If you answered "no" to either of these then you will not enjoy this game.
That isn't a really simple. Yes i enjoy star trek and i love mmo's. But just because it has a name on it doesn't mean it is good. The concept can be good, but for all i know the game and it's mechanics can suck balls.
It's an MMO bro. [editline]10:10PM[/editline] OP updated, added two new self-made screenshots.
Well, Steam thought it would be nice to make me redownload the whole 10gb. Thank you Steam! And so this doesn't happen to other people: Make sure automatic updating is turned off in STO's Steam properties, and launch Star Trek Online.exe directly from your steamapps/common folder instead of off your Steam games list or it might try and "update" it again.
Did for me too. And when it's finally done the servers are down for maintenance
Nice. I never crashed or had any issues apart from latency during beta, now the latest patch breaks the game and constantly dies on the Cryptic load screen. :bravo:
Mine crashes whenever I try to do anything. My record is five seconds of running arround the mess hall before the game vanishes.

Sounds like Im the only one who has been able to play without a hitch. :ohdear:
And me :D
I've not had any problems either, only a bit of lag. I must have been lucky with Steam since I didn't have a problem with it, think I might have opened the game before it started any of that.
How are engineering ships in comparison to cruisers? I really don't want an escort class.
I'm encountering bugs/glitches I never had in beta :( Also escort seems really easy to top fleet missions, I went 2500 and person below was 1800 :iia:.
I'd expect random downtimes in the beta but now they are doing maintenance mid day when their post says 3AM PST. Good job cryptic.
Cruisers are "engineering ships".
The turn rate really put me off after using a BoP for over a week :( so, escorts for me :v: [editline]08:03PM[/editline]
I'd expect random downtimes in the beta but now they are doing maintenance mid day when their post says 3AM PST. Good job cryptic.
Yeah, random downtime with no warning is annoying. Also didn't recieve my quest reward ( the blue aoe knockback one :argh: ). This headstart is worse than beta so far to be honest, more people having problems than before, sure there's some of you having none, darn lucky ones.
Half way through a ground combat mission as well...
sure there's some of you having none, darn lucky ones.
I think it is better than the beta imo, the only problem I have had up to now is Steam re-downloading the whole client and now this downtime.
I think it is better than the beta imo, the only problem I have had up to now is Steam re-downloading the whole client and now this downtime.
Wish I could say otherwise personally, In beta had no rubberbanding, no item loss, no bridge officer loss. Sure some things were fixed like away teams. Still wish there would be an announcement saying it's going down though, 8PM is not really a nice time to just shutdown without warning. (GMT+0) that is.. Still enjoying the game albiet getting pissed off at stuff, rubberbanding a little doesn't bother me that much but not recieving quest rewards is a real downer.

Need more ice/snow planets Going for an all andorian crew for some reason apart from myself
Oh for fucks sake. Server up at midnight. Login to launcher patching 10gb.. fuck you.
This game confuses me, I go out into space to start doing missions and I'm constantly jumping in and out of random groups :raise: Then like.. Twice, I've been told my mission is finished and it didn't mark it as done. Bah.
Shameless quote steal:
To anyone who hasn't, go to the redeem code page ( http://www.startrekonline.com/enter_key ) and type in: JIH MUSHA SOH
Ooh, thanks. On an unrelated note, how do I get into the CStore?
